not eating healthy..

No judgment/bashing.. I've tried..
I have tried to eat the 5 small meals a day. But I don't. I don't know why. I guess I can't eat w/o feeling hungry. I know its bad not to. I havent eaten 3 full healthy meals a day since I was 12??(22 now)
I feel like I'm starving my baby. :-(( am I? how do I make myself eat??

Has any of you ladies not eaten correctly and baby be ok?

  • Sometimes I feel like this too cause its just too hard lol and them having to drink so much water is even harder!!!
  • I eat only a snack and one full meal a day. 5 small meals are hard to do.
  • I'm the same way..but then I think about how it could effect the health of my baby and I make myself eat.
    Before I got pregnant I was only eating one meal a day..if that.
    But I know that it can cause my baby to be mal nurished and have health problems. So its better to eat. Even if its just crackers with peanut butter for a snack you know?
    I try to eat every food group at least once throughout the day..doesn't always happen..but it helps to make it a goal for yourself.

  • Squeeze in a few smoothies. Plain yogurt, banana, strawberries, whatever other fruit you like (pineapple, mango,...) honey, oj, ice, half a cup of dry oatmeal. Mix in a blender until really smooth. You get your fruit, protein, and fiber and it tastes delicious. I have one every day.
  • i only have 2 to 3 meals a day and they are now where near healthy! i love fried food!! and rice and beans!! yummmm carbs!! lol i hate green vegies!! well bell peppers dont count in my book as a major vegie! but anyways and i have little snacks in between! my fave snack has to me a big glass of chocolate milk!! and lots of fluids! youll be fine!! you might gain more weight then you need to but it will come off! im over by 6lbs only which i dont mind at all im due soon anyways!

  • I eat once sometimes twice a day. And its not healthy food. I try, but im allergic to all fruits and i HATE veggies. I just bring myself to eat them. As long as your doctor says you're fine and that baby looks good and healthy still, it shouldn't be a problem.
  • My usualy items I eat daily are banana, granola bar, fruit snacks, pudding, sometimes a donut or cookie, and chips.

    We just moved last weekend and haven't unpacked anything. Literally.
    All week neither my husband nor I have cooked. We've eaten at restraunts and fast food. I do have at least one meal a day. But its not always healthy. Though I did get a salad 3 times this week. 2 were side salads and I also ate a chicken sandwhich with em.

    Fried food is soo yummy. Fried chicken :) mc chicken w/ pickles, fries. Yum. Before I got pg I started to eat better so I could get pg. Id buy frozen strawberries, raspberries and the red ones. Lol. But after they were just to freaking sweet. The grapes just don't taste normal now. But watermelon <3 I can eat that still and should get some.

    I do drink the water I'm suppose to. More actually. And I take my vitamins and iron pills
  • My biggest problem is WATER! I just can't drink that much water I try but I'm lucky if I get 2 bottles of water a day. But I drink apple juice, milk. Some days I'm just not thirsty. :(
  • @lily_glz have you tried flavored water or gatorade? Its expensive but it'll be good
  • im not big on water so i have kool aide and flavored water milk(has to be chocolate) juice and gatoraide! i love making home made fried chicken with some white rice and a side of black beans!!
  • dont worry too much about it. eat string cheese, thats 1 serving of dairy.
    4 crackers is a serving or grains & carbs.
    serving sizes are really small actually. so your probably eating enough.

    Its tough trying to eat the good stuff when my husband won't even eat one string pea.

    I used to LOOVE string cheese and id eat so much of it. But since I got prego I haven't been able to eat them. But I haven't tried lately. So maybe I will pick some up when we go to the store.
  • Same problem so I decided to make Smoothies I bought all the stuff For it and fresh fruit I can't get enough of em. I say give That a try. And im trying to snack more like crackers and cheese. Its hard especially at work. :/
  • I definitely don't eat healthy I hate fruit and veggies are my favorite. I love nachos and chili and stuff like that. And I only eat about one full meal a day and snack of junk the rest of the time. (Maybe that's y i have gained 20 lbs! Yikes!)
  • And water if You eat fruit fruit has lots of water in it and Does help with dehydration and get the full servings needed. I can only drink ice cold water since being pregnant so I freeze water bottles and drink them through out the day.

  • this is some stuff my doctor told me like 1 piece of bread,torilla,pancake,roll is 1 serving. half a bagel & half an english muffin is 1 serving per each half. 1 cup dry cereal is a serving. 1/2 cup noodles,rice,cooked cereal is a 1 serving. & you should be eating 7-9 per day.

    1 egg is a serving of protien....& 1ounce or chicken, turkey, or fish is also 1 serving of protien. you should eat about 6 per day.


    1 cup of vegies is a serving. cooked or fresh you should eat around 3 per day. same with fruit but you only need about 2

    1 8oz cup of milk is a serving. & 1 1/2 ounces of cheese is a serving.
    1 cup of pudding, yougurt,custard are a serving. 2 cups of cottage cheese is a serving. & 1 1/2 cups of frozen yougurt or ice cream is a serving...you should have 3-4 per day.


    as long as you keep around this its good. i dont eat alot of meat or dairy & im fine. just read labels. it usually says what a serving size is. its really easy. dont over feed yourself tho....cuz thats not good either.
  • Yea I have that mio stuff its good but still doesn't help me drink more water :\..
