When should I tell my fam...????

I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant and had a previous miscarriage @ 10 weeks in Oct. Of 2009!!! I have a 3 yr. Old son and everything went perfect with him!!! But I'm. Just sooo scared to tell anyone of the fam... and then for it to end up in a miscarriage.... I would be completely devastated!!! I have my 12 week appt. And ultrasound on March 15th ??? Do you guys think I should tell everyone after my app. Or should I wait a little longer!!! The only other person that knows is my husband!!!!

    Honestly, its totally up to you! If you wait, everyone will understand why I'm sure & there's nothing wrong with waiting. If you tell now, everyone can support you & baby (even if something goes wrong, but let's hope baby stays fine!) I've never been in the situation, but my mother had 6 miscarriages before she got pregnant with my little sister.. & she never told me after the first miscarriage until I was older to understand. Its totally up to you though!

    Wow I can't imagine going through 6 miscarriages!!!! I went through one and I felt like my world was going to end my son was the one that kept me going!!! Thanks a lot for your advise!!!

    I would wait until after ur ob appointment. I had a miscarriage at 10 wks so this time we waited until I got to 11 1/2 wks

    I previously had a stillborn baby at 8 months and am now 9 weeks pregnant and I don't plan on telling anyone until the second trimester. Mostly because I know how worried everyone will be, and how devastated my older son was when we lost his brother.

    Yeah, I'm definitely waiting 'till after my 12 week ultrasound!!! I just wasn't sure if I should wait a bit longer than the 12 weeks?????

    @slr02 I'm sorry to hear that!!! Can't imagine hiw hard that must of been losing a baby that far along!!! That why I'm waiting till after my 12 week ultrasound just to be sure everything is alright!!! Is 12 weeks considered 2 trimester or is it 13 weeks???

    I wouldn't wait any longer than that...give everyone their fair chance to be excited!

    I had a mc last year. I'm preg now but I'm only 5 wks I don't plan on telling anyone until get my first ultrasound on my 7th week and hear the babys hb. Good luck to you.

    @slr02.... yeah I really think I'm telling all our family and friends after that next check up!!!! @cali83 good luck with everything!!!! I already had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat but last time when i had a miscarriage I had 2 ultrasounds saw a heartbeat and everything and still had a miscarriage sooo that's why I'm a bit hesitant!!!!
