crib bumpers?

Im putting them on but im a little lost on how. Do I need to "weave" it through the bars? Just the middle one? Or do I just tie them to the corners? I know some people are against the bumpers but I really only want help on getting them on. Thanks

I tied mine with the strings to the bars. Then tucked them a little bit in between the matress and the bars so it is more flush so there is less room for them to get stuck.

I never weaved mine through the bars, just put it on the inside and tucked it down like @kalikojenie said.
