...Has anyone had the doctor tell them they found something in the ultrasound? - UPDATE !
I got a call from my nurse today saying I had to make an appointment as soon as possible because they received the results of my u/s (i go to the hospital for the u/s's) and there's something important she had to discuss with me. I can't help but to think something is wrong with my baby, I'm 21w 3d. I panicked and asked her if everything was ok and she kinda was like ehh I can't discuss that on the phone, so now i have to wait until Monday !!!
I think I'm gonna go nuts from now until then...I'm scared
Has anyone had this happen to them?
- UPDATE -
OMG I didn't think I'd come on pregly to find these many posts on my thread..you ladies are the best ! :X
OK so here goes my day, u/s at 10 am the tech that usually sees me wasn't there, so I saw another girl (I actually liked her better then my tech) anyway I told her that the doc called me and told me that something was up so she checked my baby she said everything looked fine and she didn't know why they would of told me that. I went for this u/s as a follow-up to my anatomy scan being that they couldn't get a clear shot of his spine the first time around..so the u/s went really quick like literally less then 10 minutes. I was relieved to see my baby alive and moving around, it was the cutest thing he had his little legs crossed at the ankles
but in the back of my mind I'm wondering wth the doctor was talking about?!?!
OK so doctors appointment at 1:30 I get there at 1, thats how anxious I was and I didn't get seen until 2:30 :-W So soon as I walk in I ask the doctor what was up, he says that the babies heart isn't developed all the way but don't worry it's normal..I'm like don't worry?!? So he explained to me that sometimes the 4 chambers of the heart aren't exactly separated all the way and usually this problem fixes itself in time. He also told me that he sees this everyday and it's completely normal they just want to make sure it's not something more serious. Their sending me for a fetal echo which is where they put this tiny speaker on my abdomen and it sends ultra high pitch sound waves in my belly to get detailed images of the heart...but that's not til July 15th, I'm actually really confident that everything is gonna be OK and it's just something minor. Oh and they also told me that my placenta is in the front and that's why I haven't been feeling as much movement as I was.
So all in all I had a good day. I'm sorry I couldn't get to you guys earlier I'm truly exhausted, plus bd made us walk to the doctor since I don't walk anywhere lol We came home about 2 hours ago but we ordered some chinese and I was just putting away some stuff cuz we went shopping. On another good note my cousin has a 3 week old and came by today and dropped off a ton of baby stuff, the cutest bassinet ever, an electric breast pump, a bunch of newborn onesies, brand new baby bottles to store the breast milk and even some maternity clothes. I just wanna thank you guys so much for caring and showing support, If any of you ladies ever need me I will always be here ! God bless you & your little ones
