I've always been told regular detergent is to harsh for a babies skin with all the additives and dyes. My mom used dreft with all her kids and she swears by it. All places sell it, I bought 6 bottles a couple of months ago because it was buy one get one free babies r us has it too so u can put it on your registry.
I used a generic brand of dreft baby detergent and only washed all of her newborn and 0-3month clothing as well as all her socks, towells, wash clothes, bedding, swing cover, anything that she'll potentially be wearing/ touching lol. You never know what those clothes came in to contact with before you bought them.
I used the all free n clear, just in case of allergies, but after a month I use my normal detergent and see how the baby's skin reacts. Some moms use thier regular brand.
most ppl would recommend using dreft i just used what detergent i have cuz its the only kind i dont break out from so i figure if i get her use to it hten we will be golden. but do wash them cuz lots of ppl have probly touched them
My first pregnncy I washed all my new born clothes and ironed them ready for her birth and I'll be doing the same for this one. I also used a non bio detergent which is for delicate skins. I couldn't imagine putting on clothes straight from store to a baby.
i used dreft with my first. but with my others i have just used regular detergent. though i have to say that the dreft stain remover worked really really good. it got almost all spit up stains out.
I always wash the clothes first..and anything baby will be touching. I use a more mild detergent like dreft or baby All. Never know who or what has touched them in store or where they were shipped from.
Well, with my first, I just used whatever detergent I've been using or had and my babys skin turn out fine. Also with this next one I will be doing the same unless they have a reaction to it.
I loved dreft but its pretty pricey especially witg buying all the diapers and formula so I just use w.e we have. It doesnt make him break out or anything.
I just washed my baby's things a few days ago! I used All Free & Clear. With my first 2 children, I didn't start using regular detergent until they were well over 6 months old. But regular detergents may be fine much sooner, depending on how your baby's skin handles it.
I use ivory snow. It smells better than dreft (to me) n it also cleans better. I am washing all of her clothes n blankets. Unless they came in plastic, im not really washing those. I will be using baby detergent until she is about 1yrs old
I washed everything with allbaby before she was born. Then after she came, I washed a few things with my normal detergent to see how her skin reacted and when she was fine, I just used reg detergent after the all ran out.
