UPDATE she's still in NICU, but doing better. Her oxygen is being weaned and they stopped the antibiotic (the cultures came back negative! Thanks for all your prayers!!) I got to try & breastfeed her today. She acted like a pro! I'm so proud of her! You guys have no idea how grateful I am for all your thoughts & prayers. I'm feeling alittle better emotionally, but got discharged today and live an hour from the hospital. They do have 'guest rooms' for nicu parents, but had none available. So now i'm sleeping in my truck & setting my phones alarm to wake me every 2 hours to go in & pump. However I haven't really been able to sleep much out here, so looks like it's gonna be a long night...
You are such a good mommy I happy to hear shes doing good, your both blessed to have eachother your in my thoughts mommy congrats on your bundle of joy
@Proudmomma Thanks soo much for your thoughts & prayers. UPDATE: She's doing much better. They took her off the bili lights sunday morning. So now there are no tubes OR lights on her! They're still monitoring her breathing, as her breathing still tends to be too fast at times. The nurse said doctor may order a sleep study when he comes in Monday morning. I am still breastfeeding, having good milk supply. Only feeding from the breast 1xday, since we have to monitor her intake and can't do that if she's taking it from the breast. So i'm still pumping every 2 hours (have built up quite a supply tho!). I guess they'll send home any leftover when she's discharged?? Oh, & we finally got a 'guest room' here at the hosp, so at least we have a room to rest in. Thank you @everyone for your continued thoughts & prayers, it means the world to me when I sign on & see that y'all are still checkin on us!!
