I'm a cosmetologist and there are brands of color that have been proved not to harm you wee one! Chi and paul mitchell are 2 of them and as for the nails ask for "fumeless" or wear a mask!!!
I went an got my nails done two weeks ago an went to work an the girls at work yelled at ne an said isn't good for the baby an don't do it again till she is born
I went to school for it and studied hair nails facials ect for 2 years. If you should trust anyone ....girl I got you! google "extreme nails" its a brand. And call around the nail salons and ask if they use it!
I thought the main problem with getting your hair colored is that the funky hormones make it hard for the color to take right. Not so much the fumes, which is mostly a problem just because you've got the nose of a hound dog while you're pregnant.
Like august22baby I'm also a cosmo and its fine to get your hair done though your hair may react a little different to the treatments you are having done than before you got pregnant. The fumes from the nail chemicals are very strong I would avoid that.
I'm 27 weeks pregnant and I always get my hair and nails done my doctor said it was fine and if the smell bothered me to just to wear a mask but it does not harm the baby
