Where did your water break?

I'm a ftm and I've only heard it's like peeing your pants, I'm a little nervous it'll happen at work or some public place! I'll probably be to relieved to be embarassed about it, but I'm still curious, where were you when your water broke and what was your first reaction?

    Mine broke while I was sleeping on my couch but I didnt realize until I got up. Luckily none got on the couch.

    Despite what they tell you on tv and in movies, a lot of the time, your water doesn't break until you are already in labor at the hospital. Mine broke while I was getting my epidural, lol! I do know a girl who's water broke during a lecture class in college. She had to tie a sweatshirt around her waist and sneak out.

    Yea like @laura536 yur water will probably not break.. mine didn't, the dr broke it when I was at the hospital.

    With my first 2 babies, the doctor broke my water while in labor. With my 3rd baby (born 9 days ago), my waters were still intact as I was getting ready to push! The midwife who delivered him was excited and said that babies born with the sac over their face are said to have special powers (psychic), so she didn't want to break them. They finally broke while I was pushing and his head crowned. :)

    Mine didnt break on its own, dr broke mine in labor & delivery. It feels like a gush of fluid. It feels like more than just peeing your pants lol.

    1st time hospital broke mine. 2nd time it broke getting ready for my scheduled csection (i was still at home). We shall see what happens this time.

    Mine broke with my daughter at 39 weeks. I stood up outta bed at about 2 o'clock in the morning to go to the bathroom and thats when my water broke. I had puddles all over the floor. The puddles were cloudy like and I lost alot of fluid.

    Dr broke it at the hospital...second time around while I was at the hospital after I got the epidural lol

    mine broke at target! luckily it wasnt gushing, it just kept trickling out as I walked..i was already wearing a pad cuz I was havibg bladder control issues lol

    When I worked at target I was ringing a lady up (there's no nice way to say checking out the lady's items.. hahah!) and her water broke standing there. It was like you see in the movies, huge gush. I freaked out, she was so calm. She even insisted cleaning it up before she left.

    The drs had to break my first 2 I wish it would hurry up and break this time but I'm sure the dr will have to break it again

    Walmart.... "Did I sneeze?? I don't remember sneezing.... Oh, Nevermind" I hate being pregnant and having allergies BTW, gotta wear a pad all the dang time. Laaaame!!

    Mine broke once at the hospital when they were getting ready to send me home cause I wasn't dilated enough - I got to stay...lol. 2 other times it broke at home.

    When I went for my hospital tour the nurse said only 3 in 10 women have the water break on their own. Made me feel better. My first the doctor broke it to speed up labor. This time I am sure it will break while I am working which would be sooo gross cause I am a waitress. Here are you pancakes and oops let me just clean up the floor here! I am so parnoid he is gonna be early and my water will break so they won't be able to stop him. I have read too much pregly lately

    My first I had just got out the bath, got dressed and sat on the sofa. It was just a slow trickle though, nothing like on tv!

    I was on my way to eat breakfast at my bd mothers house... I was 37 weeks and it was like a small gush but you can't stop it. Lol kinda like a broken faucet

    My water broke as they were moving me on to the operating table after getting my spinal. I couldnt feel it.

    you know I heard yesterday that the water only breaks first in 1/150 cases. i thought that was interesting. I was that "one" twice! I pray it'll be a third. lol.
    first time, I was in bed, trying to roll out of it, at home. lol.
    second time, I was sitting on a recliner in the LR and getting up to put something away and POP so I hauled my wobbly butt to the toilet!
    My first was a gush and then a constant irritating trickle that NOTHING would hold (pads or anything. I said "forget it" about 4 pads in -within less than 5 mins id say).
    My second was a huge gush and then i was dry like it never happened.
    both times were at 10p, on the dot, on a wednesday night. how strange, right?
    my new fear is if it happens at church. lol

    I was sitting in the hospital bed. I was throwing up and Everytime I puked water gushed out of me. Because I was sitting it splashed up onto my belly Haha
