  • Im gonna do the nuva ring. its just really easy.
  • I did ortho micronor then I switched to loestrin. With my first I did depo and loved it.
  • I loved the nuva ring before I got pregnant, so I'm going back to that. It's easy, you only have to remember once a month, and I had no side effects from it that I got from pills... One pill gave me terrible mood swings, one made me gain weight... No side effects at all with the ring. And my periods were only like 3 days long and light on it, too. And it worked for several years of not using condoms!! (Baby girl was conceived 3 months after stopping nuva ring, so no worries for effectiveness)
  • I really want my tubes tied after I have my daughter.
  • The pill because its easiest and only things that have worked for me. Lol

  • Does anyone know what hormone control doesn't mess with breastfeeding? I'm not going to need any type of birthcontrol for several months (purposefully being abstinent) but I loved the hormonal control that Ortho Tri-Cyclen gave me a few years ago. I have a hormonal imbalance that OT-C corrected, and I loved it. No side effects, either.
  • I plan in getting Mirena, I got pregnant using nuva ring after using it for 7 months, and I used it exactly a directed. I also work 3, 12 hour night shifts a week so the pill doesn't work for me cause I'm never awake at the same time ever day to take it and often would forget, which was why I got nuva ring lol
  • I had Mirena before this pregnancy and would go back to it if my hubby and i had decided we were done so now just getting my tubes tied in October after my little girl comes!
  • Have any one heard of the bc tht is like implanted in ur arm or something like tht?
  • @Mackenzies_mama2010 im getting the Implanon. Thats the one that is implanted in ur arm the Wednesday. Ill tell ya how it is when I get it.

@Mackenzies_mama2010 Its called Implanon, it last three years, I thought about getting that but I've read a lot of reviews saying its either great or horrible not really any middle ground. And with my luck I'd end up with the horrible reaction lol
  • I'm going back to implanon. @mythica implanon and any if the mini pills are safe to take while bfing
  • i got IUD with after my first and after my second i used bf.. and it worked for six months than i immediatly got on the pill cause i had my first period .. and ended up prego.. so this time im going back to the IUD
  • i chose micronor- or "the mini pill" and 6 months later i was pregnant again. so after i had my son (#2) we tried pill after pill after pill. we now know i am immune to birth control pills and patch...awesome for me 8-| *insert sarcasm here* I haven't a clue what we are going to do
  • I chose implanon also cuz im still BF. And im horrible about taking pills. My doctor didnt have nuva ring. which I loved.. That wud have been my choice
  • I plan on using loestrin 24fe I loved it. I didn't have any side effects like I did with the patch...and my periods were super super light and lasted about 3 days.
  • @mzmommy1st yes plz tell me how it wrks out for u! My doc was telling me bout it n I'm leaning towards tht
  • I am getting my tubes tied during my csection. This will be my 4th. 2 boys and 2 girls :)
  • I completely forgot about birth control interfering with breast feeding. Great, make my decision a little more harder. So which birth controls don't interfere with breast feeding?
  • @BentleysMommy the IUD and the Implanon. Or nething that dont have estrogen in it. Estrogen can stop ur milk supply
  • I'm getting the Mirena and after a few years if we decide to not have any more kids then my husband will get a vasectomy
  • I'm getting paragaurd (iud), no hormones, 99% effective. I want something with no hormones cause I don't want to lose my sex drive, and I don't want to gain weight
  • I just had my 6w pp..it went well, lost 21lbs since giving birth. My lil scar from the tubal I had is healed nicely. And I scored a 5 on my depression evaluation..lol apparently it's a decent score
  • The mini pill doesn't mess with bf u just have to remember to take it I miss my nuva ring but I can't have it til I'm done bf
  • They have pills that don't effect bf.. if you want the pill... I got my tubes tied after I had my son, but I have three kids now and don't want anymore

  • @everyone.. the BEST method to be safe is...
No sex!!! jajajjaja just kidding mommas....
    Love you all!
  • I was wondering about nuva ring. Can you feel it when you have sex? It just seems kinda weird to me and I thought about the iud but one of my friends recently had to have hers surgically removed because it went to far inside of her. So I'm scared to get it now.
  • *I can't remember a daily pill, especially not at the same time every day!
*Tried Mirena for 22 months. Bled for 4 months straight after insertion. Eventually developed extreme fatigue and loss of libido. Removed it early Oct 2010. Started my period 2 days later. Got pregnant (unplanned) during the very next ovulation. Just had my son on 7/22. :D It was effective for me and didn't mess up my fertility or cause me to gain weight, but hubby and I are not fans at all of the libido loss!
*I'm now exclusively breastfeeding and we will be trying condoms this time. Never used them before with my hubby. He doesn't want a vasectomy, I don't want a tubal nor any extra hormones in my body (via pills or devices), yet we don't want anymore children. At least that's the verdict right now...Wish us luck! LOL!
