Lochia TMI Sorry

I gave birth to my son 9 days ago so I'm going through the whole bleeding thing. I just noticed a change in smell in the blood. It smells rotten. I take a bath twice a day and I keep that area clean but the smell is still there. This didn't happen to me with my first child so I asked a few people. Some say they had the same smell and went to the doc and the doctor said everything was normal but I heard that it could mean an infection is present. What kind of infection though? Has anyone had this same problem before?

I was told to def come in if there was a smell that was like what you're explaining. I don't think its a serious infection but something you need some medicine for
