wow you're better then me, i know im getting that epidural lol
  • I have a puke phobia too, but just of seeing, hearing, and smelling someone else get sick...yuck! I don't like throwing up and I try to avoid it when I can, but I had such horrible morning sickness that I kinda got used to it. I'm planning on asking them for anti nausea medicine when they induce me.
  • When the nurse checked me and said "Get a midwife in here now, we're having a baby!" I threw up on impulse from nervousness lol. Not everyone throws up, and if you're feeling nauseas, they'll usually give you some nausea meds through your iv.
  • I threw up with my first I guess it was from being nervous cuz I wasn't hooked up to any meds yet. I had a strong contraction and did but only once. My second I didn't at all didn't even feel like I had too.
  • @BentleysMommy
lolol thats crazzyy. My ass is already nervous so who knows, that may be me too lol
  • I have that phobia too. Mine seems worse than yours though, I get panic attacks when I even think people might vomit. :( but you can request medicine to cut the nausea out! They will give it to you through you're Iv.
  • @k_baBix0 lol it wasn't that bad, the contractions were the worse part the pushing the 2nd best and seeing her was the best lol
  • I didn't throw up at all. I had an epidural too
  • @EiralynnesMommy
you're like the only one lol lucky lady
  • @Emmalee7
I thought I was bad lol. I usually run away. I can't stand seeing it much less to cave and do it? Lord knows...
  • @CrumbledCookie
I love how u phrased that lol
  • I rather throw up than shit myself lol but im not worried bout it, cause after all that ill have my baby boy in my arms
  • With my first I was a little queasy for a bit but was way more concerned about pooping than puking
  • I am pregnant with #3 and I did not throw up in labor with the first 2. I absolutely hate throwing up too. I had really bad back labor with my first and went completely natural. I did not even have an IV, so I think just try and focus on holding the baby and you should be fine.
  • I'd rather pooping all over the delivery room than throwing up!! oh well, I'm hoping for the best!
  • Ask for Zofran before you even start to be into "hard" labor. and stay on the zofran until a couple hours after the baby is born-or days after you have a c-section. But i wouldn't worry too much, if it happens, it probably will happen right before the baby is coming and by then you won't care to much, you'll just want it over with lol. Good luck!
oh, so you never had morning sickness?? Goodness gracious, lucky girl!!
  • @lindseynicole96
lol you're probably right like mostly everyone said I just may not care lol. I'm a chicken n yes I was very lucky to escape the heavy morning sickness but o.was chewing the hell out of ice and living off maalox to hold off the nausea :0&
  • Lmfao @ pooping all over the delivery room bfor throwing up! Oh what a mental pic! Lol!
  • I completely puked through my delivery with my first. But there were a few contributing factors. one being that the last time I ate was about 430p on Wednesday. (i wasn't feeling dinner- ew) so as I got up to get myself something to eat my water broke @ 10p. The following day was terrible. I was hypoglycemic (in other words I need to eat every so often to prevent my sugar from dropping too low, but not too much to where i am sick) and they wouldn't allow that. I went through an all natural birth, and while i have a high pain tolerance...dang i was in pain! I didn't start pushing until 6p THURSDAY. Around 530p I was shaking, cold chills and all. Then after that I was puking so much so fast that the doc had to stop in the middle of birthing another lady's baby to run over to me and deliver my daughter because my body just pushed her on out every time i puked. afterwards the doc and nurses told me it was a mix of low sugar, the pitocin and antibiotics (gbs +), the pain without control, and how my body reacted is what influenced the vomiting. after i delivered they had to sedate me because i was puking and falling asleep. 20+ hrs of labor, btw.
however, with my second i got an epidural and labor was only 9 hrs. everything went well.
  • I have a throw up phobia/anxiety too. It is so bad that I swear I need anti anxiety meds for it. I am a total germaphobe because I am afraid of getting sick. I didn't get sick with my first 2. With my son, I had that watery mouth feeling like 2 times but I didn't feel nauseous at all. I ended up with a c-section with him. My daughter was a planned c-section and I didn't feel nauseous or anything but I was super nervous. I am having our last baby (another c-section) hopefully in October (due 10/21) and I plan on asking for meds but I think they automatically give them to you anyway for a c-section. Good luck and congratulations on your baby! @k_baBix0
  • @survivormommie3
Omg that's a story! You're a strong woman for not giving in to the epi! They would've had to sedate me way before the end lol. If you're heading on # 3 goodluck!! No repeats of the first time lol
  • II threw up during my second labor right before pushing. I just got my 2nd dose of my epidural and had horrible back labor but felt great afterward and she came right out in 4 pushes.
  • @juliek77
u know I thought I was one of a kind. Like how can anyone really be this terrified of throwing up?? It's so good I'm not the only one lol. I am praying so hard for a smooth delivery! & thank u :) I'm so excited for my little guy to get here. Goodluck n Congrats to U as well :) I'm sure your c-section will be a good experience!
  • @MommyOfTwoPrincesses
I'm gonna assume that's the body way of releasing the baby cause I see everyone saying they threw up right before baby popped out! Sighh -_-

I keep trying to tell myself its temporary and I will be okay!
  • My doctor said that at a certain point in labor you will get an adrenaline rush, that's when most women get sick, no worries hun, it happens a lot! :)
  • To be honest, I was worried about so many things before I gave birth to my first, but when labor came, I was in so much pain that I didnt care if I threw up or if alot of people saw me with my legs opened up.. Dont worry . It happens alot but you might get lucky, my friend gave birth twice and didnt throw up..
  • @Janet_2011
I know labor pain is no joke and I'm sure everyone is right. I'm just a big baby lol
  • You are not a big baby hun, is normal to have those feelings before giving birth, is just different when the real thing comes
