I'm 37 weeks and today at the Dr. He told.me I'm measuring 40 weeks. Baby may have changed positions and is breech. Can the baby turn head down this far along?? I really don't want a c section. And how can you tell what position they are in??

  • They can turn anytime even last min during labor. If you can get a chiropractor who specializes in Webster technique and spinning babies as @Tricesbaby suggested :)

  • @2BeForgotten - check the website out before you try to discredit it. The website was put together by a very ecperienced midwife and has a ton of helpful tips to encourage the baby to move on their own.

Spinningbabies.com is a very helpful site that I have, used with success

@kidman - if your baby is breech talk to your dr and see.if he is willing to let you go into labor in your own and give your baby time to baby flip back so you dont need a csection. Its worth seeing what your options are before rushing straight to the thought of a csection
  • Not sure but good luck
  • If you can feel babies hiccups down low, then they're head down. If they're up high (above the belly button), then they're breech. Also, if you prod around your belly, the bum, back and head are very hard and solid, whereas the limbs are very soft and will kind of float away if you push on them.
  • I don't feel much movement at all below my belly button. It's all up high when I feel movement. Like he's laying up high curved around under my ribs.
  • So its hard to tell where his feet and head are. I think his head is up high for sure but I don't feel kicks just him rolling around
