How do you clean baby pacifiers &/or baby teething toys?

How did u clean/sanitize your baby's pacifiers? My Mom boiled mine. My Aunt said I shouldn't boil them nor put them in the bottle sterilizer. She said I should wash them normally with baby dish soap & then let it soak in a mug or cup of super hot water.

I bought paci wipes from target for when im out and about but different pacifiers have different initial sterilizing instructions. For example avent pacis say to use the avent bottle sterilizer and others say top rack of dishwasher or to boil. It all depends on what they're made of

They have baby toy cleaning soap .. I agree with your aunt hot water and the cleaning soap n let them soak. Good luck %%-

I boiled mine for about 5 mins and then rinsed off and laid on a clean towel and then covered them with a clean towel until needed

hot soapy water... or boil... bleach water when they get older then rinse off. really just depends on you

@mommy2isaiahngiselle, i have noticed that too with the film stuff, that's usually why i rinse them off, what you said makes sense about defeating the purpose lol! Where did you get your sterilizer if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost?

Thank you ladies. I've read online that boiling pacifiers for the first time is OK, but a bottle sterilizer should be fine to clean them. My Aunt ordered us an Avent bottle & pacifier cleaning set yesterday so I'm waiting for that to arrive in the next week or so :-)

Boil in water with baby soap! Idk about the tethers doe, I don't think you can boil those, idk.

The avent pacis say to boil for five mins before the first use.

I always boil mine, but I haven't noticed the film stuff mentioned b4. If I do then ill toss them and get new ones I guess... Maybe the dish washer would be best. How often should they be cleaned/sterilized?
