  • I sent a pic msg of the test saying HI DADDY! Lol he didnt txt me bk, he called me bk with soooooo much excitment in his voice. Its not so romantic, but that was our moment. Idk how u should tell him but im sure he'll be thrilled! Best wishes!
  • You could get one boy outfit and one girl outfit and give it to him......
I think the ones that say something about dad would be cute..
You could get an "i love daddy" picture frame and put a "congrats on baby" card in it.....

  • Wrap the test up like a present :)
  • Wrap the test up & buy a girl & boy outfit to wrap too (: good ideas ladies! Soo cute!
  • I waited till I saw him at lunch to show him the test not really romantic but I couldnt quit smiling so he knew something was up
  • All good ideas.......I couldn't wait so I called him at work and told him over the phone.....showed him the test when he got here.......I did picture message friends and family a picture of the test.....lol
  • My story isn't too romantic either lol he was the one holding it while I peed cuz its my first time using one and I was scared ide miss it lol . So he saw the results first smiled big and showed me
  • Mine wasent so romantic. He was away for a bussiness trip. I jusy got done being sick and all but kept throwing up. Got me three pt and when the results came out, i called him right away. He was excited. Told all his co workers about it. Funny.
  • I was actually at the doctors for something completely different. We had been trying but it was to early for a test. And so my family doctor had been the one to tell us. Very excited. We were both so suprised
  • Lol I took the test and said "babe I think you should see this" with it still on the counter...he said "what does it say" lolol
  • My husband & I had this ridiculous superstition about eating Cheerios making me get pregnant (long story! :) so when I got pregnant with my daughter I bought a box (we haddent had them in 5 YEARS!) And wrote "suprise daddy!" & put it in the cupboard... when he got home from work I told him I'd got him something special from the store & after he looked in the cupboard he could not stop smiling!!!
  • With the 2nd, I got our daughter a Christmas ornament that said "big sister" on it & she helped Daddy decorate the tree =)... that was just as much fun! We told our family by having them come to dinner for the holidays & she wore a "big sister" shirt to dinner! =)
  • We were staying with his mom and I took the test when I woke up. Positive. I laid back down next to him and he felt the stick back in my pocket. (I didn't want to wake his mother up, being in a hotel room.) He asked what it said. I told him positive. He was a thousand percent sure that he couldn't have kids. Though he's never actually gone and got tested because he was afraid of the result. So he didn't believe it, even after three more, dark immediate positives. So we went and got it confirmed by a doctor. No suprise, positive. He's beyond excited. But still hesitant.
  • I didn't want it to be an oh by the way, while washing up. I got a scrap book and printed off cute week 8 pictures of the baby and fingers and toes and little facts so that he'd see where it was up to and make it seem more real. I managed to keep it to myself for two weeks and gave it to him for christmas. He cried for an hour and still keeps looking at the pictures, now he's so attached to the little olive he can't do enough for me. Hurrah!
  • My husband is in the Army. I found out a week before he graduated from training. I made a onesie that read "Don't mess with me, my dad is in the army." After not seeing him the past three weeks it was hard not to slip up on the phone. The day before graduation was "family day", ironically that's when I gave the onesie to him. All he could do is look at it with wide eyes and a huge smile. He was speechless.
  • All great ideas. Thanks everyone

Mines silly. I was waiting for my period to start the 18th of jan and it didn't so when we got home from work I told him to bring me a pt instead of a tampon.. well he brought it to me and said I don't want to know and ran out the bathroom( he's been wanting a baby for about 4 months) well I did the test it said yes+ and I about passed out Haha well I ran into the room and looked at him and started crying (happy tears) and he started jumping up and down like a kid Haha!! We are thrilled:)

    Funny stories ladies:)
  • Aww. That's so sweet
  • I took a pic of the test and sent it to him in a pic message with text that said "hi daddy" and he called me a few mins later and was like really. And I said yes really and he was so excited he was speechless.
  • ii done my test first thing in the morning before he went to work cos i told him that i dont feel like im going to have my period. and then i came in the bed room looking so upset and he looked at me with a sad face and i gave him the test and he looked at it and a big smile went from eye to eye across his face and i rang my mum soon as he knew and she was more exstactic x
  • I did the test bout 9:30 pm as soon as I wee'd on it 2 lines appeared I was shaking, sat it on the bed an left it for the recommended 5 mins thinking maybe it would change .. came back an it was still positive , mean while my boy was in the other room with his cousin playing xbox , I yelled out hey babe I need to show u something, he came in took one look and said yep I bloody told ta so , with a big grin , although he's very nervous he's git used to the idea now an is hoping for ' his boy ' :) ill b happy either way as Long as they healthy :)
  • My oldest daughter made a comment to me saying "did aunt Flo come to visit you mom?" I realized she hadn't and took a test while Hubby was at work. Came back positive. So I ran to dollar tree and bought 6 more test(cashier was like "what didn't believe the 1st one?" Lol) I also bought 3 balloons 1 said I love you, 1 said Congrats, and the other had gender neutral baby toys/items on it. I also bought him an iccee. Well when he got home I had the balloons on the counter next to that I had his iccee and next to his iccee was all the positive tests, lol
When he got home I told him his iccee was on the counter so he walked in looked at the balloons for a bit then told me he didn't get it, lol I laughed and told him to grab his iccee, as he went to grab for it I pushed his hand towards the tests, so he reached down and grabbed one paused for a minute and was like...... plus means yes? Then dropped to his knees and started kissing my belly. We are so excited, this is my 43 yr old husbands 1st, my 5th(kids from previous husband even tho current husband claims them as his own) this is our miracle baby as he didn't think he was able to conceive do to am accident that happened in the military. So anyway, that's how I told him and we can't wait to meet this lil bundle of joy.
  • I just got an awesome idea, if he takes lunch to work put a bootie in his lunch box. I wish I would of thought of that, but I was so excited to tell him I couldn't even park correctly I just ran in and he was sleeping on the couch, and I started poking him and said your a daddy! He was like huh?! Had to say it a few times.
  • These are all fun to read.My husband works out of town so I had to do a picture of 3 positive tests in a message. Then i wrote "what can we name this one" on the picture with photo shop and sent it. He called about 30 seconds later lol. This will be our 4th together.
  • I wasnt romantic either i made a sign on a big bright orange poster

Psaying sorry i have been such a bitch but i have the best reason why and on the other side i had a pic of the test
  • @irishbaby I did the same thing. My husband called me a couple minutes later and said, "does that say what I think it says?" I told him, "yep! We're having a baby!" He started cheering and telling everyone at work. (Our baby will be part Irish too! :))
  • I found "Welcome Home Daddy" balloons online, I ordered them and had them inflated at a local store. I attached them to the mailbox. Clearly it was a bit over his head because when he walked in he said "someone put welcome home daddy balloons on our mailbox, wrong house?" I said, "no, I did that". Then he stood there dumbfounded for a few seconds trying to process the thought, and asked "wait, does that mean, wait are you, hold on, wait, really? like REALLY?" lol.. it was so cute.
  • LOL @michelya
That is too funny! Hopefully this time when you did it, you put, "...and not the wrong house." at the end. :)
