  • bump im still preggo but would like to know & would love to be back to normal for all the after christmas sales! mamma is treating herself to a new wardrobe after being stuck a fat person for 9months :)
  • @moodymommie guess nobody lol...I want to take advantage of the Black Friday sales to get myself new clothes too! I am not even close to my prepreg body but God does it feel great not feeling as unsexy as I did when I was pregnant!
  • I wanna know too..
  • I was wondering the same thing.. when I rock my baby to sleep I always feel like how it feels when I do sit ups. Light ones though and it hasn't done anything wrong I also walk a lot and I'm constantly cleaning.. I'm 2 weeks pp.
  • Bump I wanna know too. I think 2 weeks light exercise but I'm not sure.
  • I was planning on taking baby for walks in stroller.. maybe thatll help
  • @kritten_octoberbby I live in Chicago so its too cold to take baby out at this time, would love to though! :(
  • I had Georgia 10 days ago and I really want to go for a run and do some sit ups! Going to next week I think!
  • You can start walking 2wks pp but nothing else. At 4wks as long as everything is done you can do a light work out and at 6 wks when Dr gives you the ok you can go full blast :)
  • Why don't you all ask your doctor? They'd probably have a better suggestion for you than a forum. Make an appointment!
  • My doctor sent me home from the hospital with 5 or 6 stomach strengthening exercises to start doing at 3 days pp so I assume its okay to start small exercises.
  • My doc said strenuous exercise too soon after delivery ie: running, impact exercises, doesn't let the uterus and other muscles move back to where they naturally should be and can cause urine leaks! Kegals and walking, stretching, and mild ab exercises until 6 weeks!
  • Well that sucks then.. im in south louisiana so its a little closer to the equator lol
  • @1stWoodsBaby see thats what I thought since in the book "What To Expect When You're Expecting" they have ab strentghening exercises for after baby but it doesnt say when to start doing them

  • Try the walking videos on demand. They're good and not too strenuous.

@waasae We can always ask our doctors but the point of the forum is to gain wisdom from a wide range of people who have had similar experiences. That's the point.
  • Oh in that case may hold on abit!!
  • yay answers :) lol ill probly start with walking then.. I am determined to catch thoses sales..i want to look good again! I know its a miricle what my body is doing but im soo over not bending and looking like a alien istrying to take over my body!
  • I would wait until you feel healed because if you over due it you will just set yourself back but if you wanna really help yourself out breast feed that knocks the weight right off you my baby is 23 weeks and I lost 58lbs
