quick question: please answer

Can I give my son a bottle while he's in his car seat? He's 8 weeks tomorrow. We're driving to Virginia andvtraffic held us up about an hour longer than we planned which means the little guy will need a bottle sooner than we'll get there. :-S

  • I didnt start giving my baby a bottle in her carseat until she could hold her own bottle at 4-5 months old. Otherwise she kept dropping it and crying
  • @kayleigh27 Do you think it'd be ok of I sat back there with him and held the bottle for him?
  • Yeah totally
  • @musicmomma if im drivinh my bf sits in the backseat with her so if she needs a bottle & the same if hes driving..i just sit in the back.
  • It should be fine as long as you can hold it for him. Ive done it twice and my son was ok he will be 8 weeks tomorrow
  • I'm always worried about what ifs. What if someone rear ends my car and the bottle gets smashed into her mouth or chokes her. I always think about that.
  • Thank you all! Giving him a bottle as we speak! :)
  • The problem I worry about with my LO is him choking and me not being able to get him out in time. The carseat belts are so restrictive. (for good reason) but I wouldn't. It's worth the babies safety to just pull over to a gas station.
  • I been doin it since 2 or 3wks, it fine if u right there them, if baby start to choke a lil take bottle out & jus pat on chest...hey can't starve baby!
