Yeast infection? (very much tmi)

edited November 2011 in Postpartum Health
Can you have a yeast infection with no yeast. Ive only had a yeast infection one time before & when I did it was VERY obvious it was a yeast infection. It looked like someone poured cottage cheese down there. It was bad! Now im 17 days pp & my "bleeding" has stopped but the lochia hasnt. Its just changed colors. & I have a slight itchiness down there. Its not unbearable like before but its noticeable when I wipe. I can feel the itching sensation then & when I wash down there also. But when I got out the mirror and looked down there..theres nothing. No white discharge at all. Could it be a yeast infection still or am I just itching from the lochia?
