Why do you breastfeed? :)
And what are some health benefits that you know about breastfeeding?
For me, its the bonding time with my baby. Im lazy and dont want to get up to make a bottle lol.
The health benefits are proper jaw alignment, antibodies, lowers risk of asthma, allergies
eczema, diabetes (juvenile & adult), some childhood cancers, crohn's disease, colitis, necrotizing enterocolitis (mostly preemies), obesity, cardiac disease, poorer cognitive development, poorer visual development, breast cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, adult onset diabetes, overweight, osteoporois, iron deficiency just to name a few lol

Plus, I love doing it.
Plus I love the health benifits for both my son & I, and the bond it makes between us.
our wic office says babies are born to breastfeed too!
you guys have some great answers! i wish more mamas had more support
@kristaf22 seriously, mine is always attached to me too LOL..all those dang growth spurts..i miss sleep haha
I like this category and tend to hang out here the most because i see a lot of same questions being asked over and over about pumping or breastfeeding so a lot of us like to post discussions with answers so a lot of us moms who want to know can read instead of searching through comments.
there have been many times i wanted to give up, my 2 yr old was very preemie so i had to pump while he spent 53 days in the nicu, i continued to pump and teach him to latch and it took work so i understand how you pumpers feel
this time around my baby was not preemie so i got to nurse her right after birth and am glad i dont have to spend all that time hooked up to a pump.
