My age, really?

edited December 2011 in Pregnant
Hi, some of you know me, some of you don't. So I'm gonna throw it out there, I'm 17. I have a 5 1/2 month old son named Bentley, obviously. He is my absolute life. His dad and I are together. We've been through A LOT. Especially with his grandma. She didn't like me, I didn't like her, for the longest time. But we're actually getting along now and everything seems to have fallen into place.

But for some reason people who love to take cracks at me can only talk about my age. So for clarification YES I'M SEVENTEEN WITH A BABY. YES I'M A TEEN PARENT. YES I LOVE MY SON AND TRY TO BE THE BEST MOM I CAN BE AT ONLY SEVENTEEN.

Now, find something else to hate on. Bitches.

  • Lmao! Word!
  • A lot of the moms on here were teen parents at one point in time. It is what it is.

  • Good for you I have no idea what's being said but damn it who cares what your age as long as you are trying to be a good mom! F those who want to discourage you cause of your age I know 30 year olds who can't seem to be around for their kids. I have read some your posts and u seem to have your shit together!!
  • There you go again making a point to get called a good mom. Even your own doctor said you were a child with a child. Well if you are on here we know you aren't deliberately trying to get knocked up again, right?
  • Yes, I want to so badly for others to call me a great mom because I don't know that myself. Why don't I just make a few fake accounts so I can comment to myself that I'm an amazing mom. That sounds like fun! You've inspired me.
  • And yeah, my doctor called me a child with a child. He's an inconsiderate old asshole. He also told me not to worry about my son maybe having seizures? Sounds pretty bright for a doctor!
  • Just to clarify things idk you!! I'm seriously watching 17 again the one with Tia and Tamara Mowry... Im 19 and have a 6 month old!! Geesh chill out
  • I honestly think you don't owe ANYBODY an explanation.
  • Oh I know ur a great mommy :) I agree w ^^
  • :-)) You share a doctor with your kid? Oh my!
  • It's called a family practice doctor......? Lol
  • @ralphjordan well I think pedi's see u until u turn 18.
  • @ilovemykids86 my sons new pedi actually sees their patients up to the age of 21. So I guess that's funny to some people? Lol
  • Hey u might be 17 but ur way more mature than these fake ass ppl.

  • Actually, its a pediatrician you are seeing.

    @ilovemykids86
    yeah, she switched PEDIATRICIANS because her doctor told her like it was. She didn't like that so she switched. All because he didn't tell her what she wanted to hear - you are a good mom, its awesome you got pregnant on purpose, etc.
  • @Mama_Kat yeah that's fine. Just wanted to give my background so people who saw these fake idiots taking cracks at my age would know why :)
  • I wish I could still see my doctor from when I was a kid. "/ He was awesome, and knew a ton about me. A great, small town family practice doctor.
  • I distinctly saw you comment that you will continue to see a PEDIATRICIAN until you are 18.
  • How would you know what type of doctor I see? Lol. And no, I switched beche was nonchalant about everything. My sons seizures, soft spot being to small, my back problems and spasms, and he told me to stop breast feeding. So I switched Bentley to a new pedi and I switched to a new doctor. But thanks for trying.
  • Really 21??? That's crazy! I don't see why. I get 18 cuz kids are still in school and need physicals and stuff but 21? What's the point of going to the pedi then?
  • Yes, when I tried to switch doctors to an adult doctors office, they told me that. Because pediatricians do need to see you till 18 21, whatever the preference may be. UNLESS you have had a baby. Hello, I've had a baby, so they were able to see me before the age of 18. Do you comprehend?
  • Because I am smart! What was the point of this post anyway....?

    @ilovemykids86
    That is what I am saying. Pediatricians don't see their patients after the age of 18. Someone is lying. [-X
  • False @ralphjordan. I had my son at 17 and my pedi switched me to a big girl doctor ;-) Your body changes when u have a kid so you need either a family practice physician or and internal medicine specialist.
  • @ilovemykids86 I know right? I was like uhhhh I'd be kinda weirded out if a 21 yr old just walked in here lol. But imsure no 21 yr olds go there, they switch when they're 18. I think it's just an option that they could stay till that age if they wanted to.
  • Yes, I'm lying about that? For what reason? Lmao.
  • @BostonBabe88
    I didn't mean she HAS to see a pediatrician until she is 18, her insurance said she does. She is trying to say her doctor is a family practice and that pediatricians see you until you are 21. I was clarifying.
  • @BentleysMommy716 your lo has seizures?? Oh my I'm sorry! Poor baby
