Car accident... update!

I was in a Car accident today me and baby girl were coming from the doctor Because lo has thrush, well my light turned green and the lady who hit me ran a red light, lucky baby girl is fine I hit my head hard on the window twice, I looked up at my light to make sure It was green and it was and then I.got out looked at baby.girl and she looked at me like Nothing even happened, the lady didn't have anything no registration no insurance Nothing at all... the car isnt to bad but that was the last of my worries im so glad my baby is Okay! I didn't get a ticket but she Did..

    The. Cop was a dick tho.. then the traffic cop Came and actually was nice and asked if the baby was Okay .. and said She will be getting a.BIG ticket

    Oh no!!! Glad you're both okay! Just a thought...you may have to replace your carseat, I'm not sure though what the rules are on that

    Thank God everything is ok, everytime I am driving with my baby I get nervous. Because even though I drive very carefully you never know what nutjobs are driving out there.

    All she got was a ticket?! That's ridiculous. But glad you and baby are okay! Carseats are amazing.

    Sometimes when carseats are in wrecks they can become defective :(

    Yeah youll have to get a new carseat even if there is no 'damage' after a wreak. even after u drop a carseat on the ground your 'supposed' to get a new one.

    Maybe go to a fire station and have them check it? I know you go to a fire station to make sure you have it installed properly.

    I think its no matter what, but I'd definitely try to have the lady who hit you pay for it!!!!

    What you need to do is contact your insurance company and ask them if there is an adjuster you can meet with to look at your car seat because it was in an accident they will be able to tell you if it was made unsafe in any way and can even help replace it if you file a claim and have collision or uninsured motorist coverage. most fire stations will no longer assist you with car seats because of liability issues.

    O my gosh, i cant even imagine! The other day a lady switch into my lane then slammed on her breaks to turn, i've never hit the breaks and horn so hard in my life. I cried the whole way home and then some and it wasnt even a wreck

    I was in a wreck a year ago and I was told no matter what the carseat straps need cut and it goes in the trash...u had to get a new one...I'm glad you and baby are ok.

    Glad to hear u and baby are okay. Here in Ca there is a law that states if the car seat was in use at the time of the ax it needs be replaced. What we do where I work is ask for the make & model of your current car seat and we issue our insured a check for that amount for it to be replaced.

    I'm glad you and your lo are alright.
    That's bull that all she got was a ticket! I would be sueing her tush off! Normally I'm not one for suing but to have no insurance or license shows she has no thought towards law or others that she might affect. If sued she at least might not have a way to purchase a new vehicle...

    My lo and I were in a car accident 2 weeks ago. Stupid guy tried to go around a car stuck on an icy hill by passing into my lane and smashed into us. The guy only got a ticket for unsafe passing for this incident also. Thank God we're both okay!! The insurance adjuster came out and did an eval on the car and carseat and said it (the carseat) needed to be replaced even though my car was struck on the driver side and she was in the backseat on the passenger side. I was told there can be unseen structural damage done to a carseat during an accident that may cause it not to function properly should it be in another accident. I'm so glad you and your lo are ok!!! People are so stupid and in way too much of a hurry. Sorry this happened to you! It's so scary getting into an accident ESPECIALLY with a baby in the car!!! Definitely get a new car seat and make HER pay for it. Good luck!

    @ArmahnisMommy i no right!! and guess what she gave me and the cop the wrong number so no idk how i will get ahold of this lady!!!

    @LittleFae yea a ticket is bull but i guess it was a big one from what the cop had said makes me mad tthats all she got i mean my lo could have been hurt, i mean i hit my head really hard and i have a headache and my neck hurts bad but im glad shes okay..

    @drgonzo523 glad everything was okay with u guys yea people just dont care and the cops dont take it as a big deal either.. its like there my lil baby in the car someone who cant deal with pain or getting hurt so id like something to happen to her more then just a ticket !
