can sumone give me lots of info on the bc patch ?

I'm thinkn of using it but no absolutely nuthn bout it any advice ? Does it stay on good ? Can u shower wit it ? How often do u change it ? Do u leave it off for any period of time ? If any one knows I'd really appreciate the info :) thanx

    I used it along time ago! You change it once a week and you have to put it on different parts of your body every time you chane it. Yes you can shower! and you use it for 3 weeks off for 1. hope that helps!

    I didn't have any problems with it. But it's made to stay on for 7 days so it's super sticky! So can see someone with sensitive skin having issues!

    I used it 9 years ago and absolutely hated it! The edges get gross and start to peel up and it left a big sunken in spot on my butt that took a few months to go away. I had bad headaches and nose bleeds

    I used it and loved it more than nuvaring. I changed to nuvaring bc It was cheaper on my insurance. Yes the edge can get curled but that only happened to me once and while and I was on it for 4-5 yrs. One thing I would comment on is if you are breastfeeding its not a suitable form of bc. I was discussing with my doctor the other day and he said nope, sorry, no go. :( I am quite upset because the pill gave me side effects even on the low dosage and the nuvaring gave me a smell and when I took it out to switch back to the patch that's when this one came along. But honestly every bc effects each individual differently. Good luck.

    I hated the patch. It gave me heart palpitations, I felt horrible, and had panic attacks. I switched to loestrin 24fe and I love that bc. I'll go back on that once I'm done bf.

    Yes you get your period on the week that you don't wear the patch. I would place/change/remove on Sunday and get my period on Tuesday. You are supposed to switch the location every week so I would switch between butt cheeks. I never liked wearing it on my arm bc it reminded me of the smoking patch. Again its dependent on your body. Try it and see how your body reacts bc I have tried others with non favorable reactions. Your body knows best.

    I think bc is different for everyone. Seems like some people do better than others on different types. I could never handle the pills, had terrible side effects. The patch worked the best for me. My suggestion is to try it and see how you feel. Its easier to switch than say something that needs to be implanted.

    I am on the patch now and I have no issues with it at all the only down side in my opinion is its more expensive
