Nope, not odd at all. If your phone uses apps you can search for one that has that for babies. Or if there is a way for you to record and play the sound of the blow dryer it might be easier for you. I know someone who recorded the sound of their vacuum and plays it while their baby naps lol
I just had my 4th and yea very common lol...babies just like those kind of noises I've heard it sounds like it does in the womb. All my babies fell right to sleep with the vaccum sound or white noise
I have a great app for that. Its call relax and sleep. It has a little sheep on it. Its free through the aneroid market and has about 20 or more different sounds. My baby falls asleep almost instantly with the white noise or vacuum sound. You can even combine diff sounds together. Its a life saver!!!
