Breastfeeding was on sesame street in the 70s and 80s then switched to bottles. I say heck yea its a step forward in normalizing breastfeeding. Which I find silly that even needs to be normalized bc breastfeeding is the most normal natural way to feed your child. So if children grow up seeing it they will understand what breast rlly are for and not buy into the crap about it being disgusting.
Wish I could like this post/link. It's about time they stop treating breastfeeding as if it's something to hide. I am sick of being made to feel like I should be ashamed of wanting to give my baby the absolute best that I can. I feel this definitely would be a step in the right direction
I think its great!! Have u noticed since breastfeeding has been dubbed "gross" by society, diabetes, obesity & breast cancer stats have gone through the roof!! Breastfed children are 50% less likely to develop obesity, and diabetes when they get older and mothers who breastfeed lessen their chance of ever getting breast cancer!! Its sad but my husband & i were having dinner with his friend seans family, sister & parents and when i went to go feedmy baby (discreetly) i came back and theyasked "how long are you plsnning on doing that??" And when i said "at least 1year" they looked at me like i had 3 heads and started shaking thiers saying " well isn't that weird for you? U know shell never grow enough from breastmilk, and isn't it such a pain in the ass?"
I had all i could di to refrain from slapping someone, it just shows how UNEDUCATED people are about breastfeeding!!! Go watch sesame street biatch!!! LOL
@BellaReust that's horrible and they are clearly ignorant to the many benefits of breastfeeding. Its strange but it seems many people lack common sense. But I guess its easier to spends hundreds of dollars on formula and wake up in the middle of the night to prepare a bottle then its is to attach your baby to your boob for free nutritious milk. How do they think babies survived before formula.
I know right!! Its because their daughter formula fed all 4 of her babies and they think she walks on water!! Lol she's like 23 and trying to school me ! Whatevs!
