NF

So my hubby have a rare case of Neurofibromatosis and it can be passed down to Nyla but so far so good. I havent seen any signs. I try not to worry, I would love her reguardless thats my baby but my husband stresses himself out & would feel bad if she does get NF. Well, we both want another baby & we're both thankful that after 5 yrs of ttc we finally have our precious daughter & no signs of NF but hubby thinks if we get preggo again maybe our second baby wont b so lucky & gets it

signs of nf didnt show up on my hubby til he was around 15 months or so & I just pray Nyla doesnt develop a tumor or anything

What exactly is nf? Sorry girl I've never heard of it...but Nyla is such a healthy baby I doubt u have anything to worry about...as far as baby #2 all I can say is have faith girl...after being w Luis for like 150 years and not getting preggo I used to think I couldn't have kids, but I never lost faith and now we have our precious baby...and like you said regardless of what happens you will love your baby...Nyla needs a lil bro/sis so don't give up...

@juliansmommy well in Nigels case the type of NF he has is cafe-au-lait spots but its only on his left side of his face near his eye but u cant really tell unless ur really staring at him & he hates when ppl do that. He was about 15 months when his mom realize there was something wrong BC he couldnt stop crying. Then doctor examine him & said he has NF. He has a small tumor behind his left eye thats y there r cafe au lait spots on the left side of his face

doesnt bother me BC I love him unconditionally so u figure if my baby gets it ill love her the same but for my husbands sake we pray Nyla wont get it or the second if I get preggo again. Thank u girl

That must have been so scary for his mom. Now I understand why she spoils him so much.lol I'll definitely keep Nyla in my prayers. Are they giving her routine check ups for that?

@juliansmommy her pedi checks her everytime we go see her. Yeh thats probably y my mil loves him like that BC she blames herself

My adopted little sister has NF. She's 11 and been with our family since she was 10 months old. She has the same type of cafe au lait spots your husband has but thankfully no tumors yet. I know it's not the same as your own child having the disease but when she became a part of our family I was 16 so we formed a very special bond. I worry about the prognosis each time she goes to the Dr but so far we've been lucky it hasn't been too bad. I will pray for little Nyla. I sincerely hope everything will check out completely normal for her!

@drgonozo523 thank u very much that meant a lot to me :x I hope ur lil sister doesnt develop a tumor BC my hubby goes thru bad migraines BC of the tumor

im prepared if Nyla does get it but I hope God is good to us & she stays healthy. Thank u for sharing ur story/ experience with someone who has it with me

@mrsthompson34 my oldest daughter has a severe case of it. she has them on many of her organs. they have attacked her colon. kidneys and bowels. also her reproductive organs so she will never b able to have children. she is in pain a lot from it. its a horrible disease I wouldn't wish it on the devil. neither of my other children have it.

that breaks my heart. I didnt know NF can attack all those organs. My husband hates talking about it. My prayers also goes to ur daughter, poor thing. How old is she now if u dont mind me asking? Im sad that she wont b able to have kids

What does the cafe au lait spot look like? My son has a big birthmark on his belly but I thought that was what his pedi called it

@mrsthompson34 my daughter is 11. she is such a strong kid. I don't know how she maintains vein happy some days. don't get me wrong she has her sad days but 95% of the time she is a happy kid.

my husband says the migraines r really bad so I cant imagine how ur son is taking it BC hes still so young. The tumor my husband has behind his left eye is a size of a pea. The last time we talked about this ur son didnt have a tumor. Thats aweful that he has one now. I hope when u go to his appt on weds things didnt get worse. My prayers go out to ur son also & thank u

Oh nobody in his family has it also. My husband is the only one.
