Im basically a LPN (im a military medic) the only thing I don't have is an actual cert saying that I am one. Military 'world' I can pretty do anything from some medication administration to iv's and other procedures. Civilian world im just an EMT and a med tech. Right now im just deciding whether or not to challenge the (lpn)boards or go into nursing school.

Does anyone know if you have to have pre requisites to start nursing school or do you 'just need to be accepted'?
  • @kayleigh27 I say go for ur rn!!!.lol but yea there are pre requisites it just depends where you want to go though
  • @newmomma13 oooh I haven't done ANY college other than the college credit I've gotten during all my training. Im thinking of going straight to RN. Would love to work in labor and delivery :) or the ER.
  • I'm in Austin, TX & I just barely started my basics this semester, so I got a while to go. I'm coming for my BSN, I'm want to be a neonatal nurse :D

@kayleigh27 Well wherever you want to go to you should see if those credits that you have transfer there

@clope18 omg I'm in san marcos!!!!! what school you going to
  • oh i bet labor and delivery would be fun.... @jdensma im just back and forth constantly lol
  • I like idea of nursing too. The degree is versatile. I almost worked in the NICU but its kinda sad :/

  • That's true. Not all births are happy ones. Then there are the NICU babies that are really sad. I couldn't work in NICU I think
  • @jdensma yes that's right but there still is the mother that you can help get through that tough time...I wanted to minor in womens studies
