i been so tired lately. so hard having a newborn and trying to keep up with cleaning the house AND taking care of my older two. but i love it. i am so in love with my lil girl shes already so spoiled or should i say attached to me haha. this is my first time breastfeeding so i feel like a ftm sometimes i been doubting myself because i worry that i don't have enough milk but i had appointments with lactation and they keep telling me i have plenty of milk lol and that shes gaining weight pretty quickly. i'm just such a worrier. but other then that shes is all good. shes 5 weeks now and shes already cooing a little when we talk to her and smiling if we get lucky haha. shes always been very alert and strong. big bro and sis love her soo much too they are always trynna hold n kiss her lol. i love being a mommy.
Hello! Thank you! He looks alot like me, more now than he did at birth. Were doing good. Im still having trouble pumping. I havent been able to breastfeed him at all yet since he was born. Didnt have enough milk and it always hurt plus didnt have anyone to show or tell me how to do it. I barely have milk now after giving up and stopping for about 5 days about a week ago. My ob said i should stop but i didnt want to. Im taking the fenugreek and i noticed a very small change but nothing big. I cant empty my breasts if barely anything comes out.. ive tried hand expressing and almost nothing comes out.. i want to try to latch him and see if he can help my let down but i didnt know if i should since i barely have milk. Idk if they have more milk than im getting out or if it just feels that way.. im very torn and struggling with this because i really want to do it. I barely had enough money to buy the fenugreek so i cant buy all these other herbal things to help the milk either so im really counting on the fenugreek. Its my first time breastfeeding/pumping also and I am a FTM and a huge worrier so Im ritht there with you! Ugh.. sorry for the rant! Glad you and baby are doing well though, she is a cutie pie!! Love her littlee onsie! And your older ones are adorable, precious!!:)
Consultants. I was sore at first too and if it wasn't for my appointments with the lactation consultants I would be lost. They showed me the correct way to do things and taught me everything I needed to know. Is there anyway u can see lactation consultants? I took fenugreek with blessed thistle it's about 8$ each. Why weren't u able to breastfeed him yet?
I might be able to see a consultant depending on if my insurance allows it or not. I dont have any income and am on Medicaid so hopefully they cover it. I will try to get some blessed thistle if the fenugreek doesnt work also. I wasnt ever able to breastfeed because I didnt produce enough milk plus I couldnt get him to latch like at all. I got him to latch today on my left side but only with the nipple sheild because he wont do it without it, I guess cause i have a flat nipple. I tried the right side after the left and It hurt really bad because out of nowhere the crack on my nipple came back. I also tried to pump that side afterwards but that hurt too and I know I have to get the milk out but I cant so Im really really discouraged
@Bahamamama4828 sure! I would really appreciate it! Yes, I have a Medela electric pump that I use but I havent pumped before nursing before. I just used the nipple sheild. I will try that though.
That would be so great of you!!! Ive been hand expressing the past few days because of the crack on my right nipple and I still havent noticed an increase in my milk yet but the fenugreek bottle said it could take up to 2wks to notice anything
i'm sorry ur having all this trouble. i can tell u really wanna do this, i hope u get it i thought my nipples were flat before because they are not long like my moms and sisters but when i gave birth and asked the lc about she said mines were not flat at all. i guess they are just short lol.

I wish i could get on more often. I really do miss all of you. @jessannengland im sorry to hear your still struggling with breastfeeding. I really hope you can get better at it. I never did. @myheartzx3 your baby is so cute. How are you doing. I hope things are going well. @jules how are you doing. Your lo is just a couple days older than my princess. I hope things are going well with you as well. as for me. I am still in pain. Yes, 2 months pp and still hurting. Some days are worse than others. They have started me on physical therapy to see if it helps. I have been twice and it helps very little so far. But we will see. My little girl has been very cranky lately. And wont hardly let us put her down. She has a little reflux. But not sure if something else could be wrong. My 2 boys have been sick and cranky. I am so tired from dealing with them and being in pain all the time. And everything else is causing so much stress. My husband is still out of work and unemployment just ended. So now i don't know what to do anymore. We are trying to survive. But its not going as well as i hoped. One day maybe things will improve some day. Me and husband have been fighting a lot. I don't know if we will survive this life trial still married. I have seriously considered leaving. It would just be hard with no job, no home and 3 kids. I just don't have much more strength. Sorry, i just had to tell someone. I hope everyone is doing good and babies are nice and healthy. Oh, and my little sister whose pregnant right now might have to deliver early. She's due April 14 but her baby isn't growing right. Her head is starting to get bigger than the rest of her. And they think its cuz of lack of space. They starting stress tests Wednesday and in a couple weeks if she not doing well they will take her. Im worried for her. So please pray for my sister to have a healthy baby.
@angel26, hey I'm doing well I'm so sorry to hear your still in so much pain I really hope they figure it out soon. My lo is doing well shes good eater pretty good sleeper but she just got her 2 month shotd which for some reason made her sleeping pattern change so I hope it goes back to normal soon. I've been doing well have to go back to work in march not wanting to at all . I dont get paid much and not much hours either so it doesn't realky make it worth it but since daddy is still unemployed we can use ever little bit. Thank God he still has his unemployement but its only until July so hopefully he finds something before then. We are also dealing with his ex wife right now. Shes tryin to have their daughter full custody so they r going to court since the original order is 50/50. But him and I are having ups and downs sometimes I want out as well but we are trying to work through it .

@angel26 thank you! I got baby to latch tonight for the first time ever so im super duper happy! I am so sorry to hear of your situation and of your sisters. I will pray for her and the baby! My fiance and i are arguing alot too. He has epilepsy and lost his job and is also on unemployment right now but hasnt gotten any money yet. Hes been waiting on it since i was 9 months pregnant!! We dont know whats taking so long either. Hes also trying to get on medicaid and food stamps like i am. I wish you luck in your situation!!
@AishaMusa hello mama! All are welcome here, I just know of few preglys from before we had our babies and thought Id see how they were doing. By the way guys, I got my son to latch lastnight for the first time since he was born two months ago. Without a nipple sheild!! Only on my left side though. He made right aide very sore and tender. I think from me not properly breaking suction. My poor boobs, ive been crying all day:( I thought i was in the clear with bf-ing untill he didnt latch right to my right side so ive been super depressed all day today. Im trying really really hard though despite all ive been through with it. Not producing enough milk.. cracks in nipples, pump not working on my breasts...you name it, ive cried about it..lol. Its all worth it though because when he latched lastnight i felt so amazing and so bonded with him, i was so elated. My parents see me struggling and want me to give up. They dont understand it and noone in my family has ever breastfed so im very passionate about it. Im still sticking with it eventhough im letting it get the best of my emotions. Not to mention my fiance doesnt support breastfeeding either Hes a big fat d*ck! Excuse my english! The wic breastfeeding hotline is no help either. Called and left a message and noone called back. I have a few women on fb helping me through this though, they dont even know me and are in diff states and theyre awesome, theyre really helpful. Anyway, wish me luck please, ladies. I need all the help i can get!
Well thats good! You can always try giving him the bottle with baby formula. I know Similac has formula that pretty close to breast milk. Its a little expensive but at least he'll be eating.
Yeah. I use gerber good start gentle but were still working on the latching. He didnt want to latch at all on either side today for some reason. I dont get it.. im going to a bf-ing support group thursday to see if they can help us.
@jessannengland im glad he latched yesterday. Im sorry about you being so down though. I was really depressed about not being able to bf my little girl. I really hope it works for you soon. Also very glad some of our pregly's are helping you. I hope that support group helps too.
@aishamusa ok. Welcome to pregly. How is your pregnancy going. Do you know what your having. No im not pregnant again, thank goodness lol. My baby is only 2 months old and i had a very rough pregnancy. I hope you find pregly as helpful as i did. Good luck with remainder of your pregnancy.
