@ashley_smashley Not at all my point. My point, again, is that there are too many people screaming "obamacare sucks" but when you ask them what it is, what it does, and what it really means...they seem to go blank. The same also goes for some supporters of it. "i love obama so obamacare must be wonderful!". I dont care to sway a person in any way, but believe SOMETHING and at least know WHY you believe it lol. So yea "who cares what its called". Know what it is
There are just as many people, if not more, who "love" obama because of his healthcare policy and when asked what they "love" about it, they respond with "it's free". I have yet to come across many informed supporters of this bill @davidnaadynsmama.
I agree. I just said that to ashley. People shouldnt hear the name Obama and get all wet for it bc they suppport him. I just know that this is a bill that will help certain people in my life and community so its hard to be against something that has a positive effect on me and im sure, countless others
I worry what this does to my job as a healthcare worker. I genuinely fear for my livelihood. I guess I better start working out after this baby in case I need a fall back plan as a stripper. :P
I was just wondering the same thing @rtmommy. Congress will be voting for a repeal on July 11th. Get this, within an hour of the ruling, Romney received over $200,000 in donations on his site. Even MSNBC, obamas minions, are talking up Romney and expressing their anger over this tax. Looks like Obama just handed Romney the election. Americans everywhere are outraged right now. Even liberal Obama supporters are turning their backs. This is a huge deal.
@blessedtxmom I've never liked Obama but this is the icing on the cake. Proof that he doesn't want America to get better. There's like NO middle class anymore and it's only getting worse...
@mama_kat thanks. Im glad im not the only one lol. I usually dont talk politics but this is a huge topic right now so I weighed in. I have beliefs and stand up for them...even if that means im standing alone. I know there are imperfections in this but its not like our current system isnt flawed! Young children with pre-existing conditions being turned away, the elderly (like my grandmother) choosing between her meds and her dinner. Not to mention all the people constantly bitching about the strain on resources caused by the uninsured and how unfair it is that they have to "support the lazy people". Just the portions of this bill that have already been implemented, have already helped people I know (like a friend at work who was uninsured and couldnt afford it, but didnt qualify for medical card is now allowed to stay on her mothers insurance until she is 26 I believe) or a good friend of mine with Parkinsons (elderly man) now pays less for his medication. If this is positively helping people I know, then im sure there are countless others who are also being helped by this bill
@mamalove he wants to help the middle and lower class americans. Hes been trying to tax the wealthiest 2% for years to make things better for the average working class american but of course its not happening bc those top 2% run washington, jmo though
The middle class is practically wiped out. This will not boost the economy, in fact it will cost more jobs for people. He's already put this country in far more debt than Bush and we are still in recession. I wouldn't want money from people who make millions cuz they EARNED their money! I'm not entitled to that.
Most of them sat at a desk, lied, cheated & stole to "earn" that money. Not all, of course there are honest wealthy people but definitely not most. @mamalove
@blessestxmom so you think the trickle down effect has been working? My inlaws make well over 250k a year and would also be taxed much more. They seem to be fine with a tax increase. Didnt mean to upset you so much though lol, really. Its jmo, and they are like assholes
Most of the political figures would be those you speak of. The ones that didn't pay taxes and such but got to keep their jobs. But when they couldn't figure out the budget plan back in April, they wanted to withhold military pay. I'm starting to learn anything gov't related us corrupt.
Well, I know my stance isnt popular but its my belief. I also respect the beliefs of all you ladies so I hope I havent offended anyone. Unfortunately, politics is just one of those touchy subjects that easily turn to heated discussions, but im glad the pregly ladies on here are mature enough to keep it civil. We all have different opinions/beliefs based on our own lives & circumstances. Thats why I try my best to be respectful of those beliefs, even when I disagree. Ive had enough politics talk for the day though...blah lol. Im stepping out of this one now. Love you pregly ladies
@DavidnAadynsMama "Most of them sat at a desk, lied, cheated & stole to "earn" that money. Not all, of course there are honest wealthy people but definitely not most." How do I know you didn't just make this up?! lol Where did you come up with this statistic?
@babyluv to my knowledge, there are no formal stats on how many wealthy crooks there are lol but IMO and experience the wealthiest are crooked. They step on the little people to get to the top and only care about their bottom line.(not all, of course) If I ever come across a formal stat though, ill get back to you haha
