  • i think they are extremely femamine (sp?) :( sorry
  • @Starrxoxo9 i agree, im from England and thats exactly how they sound to me too. That said, I like the third option best but I would spell it Brendyn Thomas.
  • but i like all the names just not the spelling,
  • @my2boys i didnt ask your opinion about the names. I simply asked which people.liked better Plain and simple. And yes, the way yall say things is a northern thing evedentally cause e and i and y can all sound the same in the south
  • @mama_kat i like that! Its diffrent which i like!!
  • Yes you did, you said which do you like better? You contradict yourself and make no sense, but whatever I wont come back to this post.

I'm sorry, but it's really not just a "northern thing". If you look up the pronunciation of Ben and Bin you will find that they are two different sounds. Honestly, I'm just trying to help you (and your kid) because your going to encounter a lot of confusion with his name being spelled that way.
  • Well im pretty sure no one would think Byntlee is pronounced with an "i" sound. I dont say my words the same way you do. There is a HUGE diffrence in a northern and southern accent and how we pronounce words. Jus sayin.. @my2boys, if that were the case I would have said, which name do you like best and WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THE.SPELLINGS? BUT I didnt.. Like I said, always people that wanna start a debate
  • I don't know why your tagging me, I don't want to start drama. You did not clarify in the beginning you just said what do you like better, which can mean many things. I was letting you know my opinion of them and obviously were not going to agree on them.
  • Ok then..
  • Might be a dumb question. Lol. Just super curious, "y" in each of your names is pronounced as a vowel, right? I figured yes since the syllables that contain the "y's" have no other vowels in them.
  • Yes as an I but not pronounced like eye. As the person stated earlier, instead of bronson its more like bronsin but I dont like "sin" so I changed it to "syn" :) so this is my last baby, I want him to also have the "yn" @fate
  • That's exactly what I thought. Thank you for answering! :) You could use their names as a lesson to them and they'll never ever forget when "y" is a vowel! Genius really!

  • Ok so I know you didn't ask for other names lol but I love looking at names and I like your whole Yn thing I like names that use different letters and I found...
    Kolyn like Colin
    Korbyn like Corbin
    Kevyn like Kevin
Kalvyn like Calvin (my fave!) Or Kelvyn (Looks more like a boy) depending if you liked Cal with a long A or Kel like (kelly sounding).

Here is the site I found them from.
You pick which gender then in the select all drop down you pick either beginning or ending (of the name) and then in the "enter each item" box I just put YN and it added YN in red to a bunch of names!

  • Thanks @mama_kat and @mallory and @fate. I love diffrent and odd spellings of names. Some people are still just old fashion I guess.. And your right @mama_kat John is pronounced Jon. If they are pronounced the same, then who cares how someone chooses to spell A name.
  • I like odd spellings to my kids are Ke'Vion pronounced kaveon my daughter is kha'Niya pronounced kaniya an my other daughter is Ka'Liyah pronounced kaleah everybody always sed sumthn about the spellings but I love it bein so different
