    Mine has been great. This was my second. I was told it would hurt way more, and it DID NOT. It is scary, but it is not painful. The spinal doesn't even hurt as much as a normal shot. After surgery make sure they give you a "binder". All hospitals have them, so ask your doc. It helps hold your belly in, and will help when you cough, sneeze, and anything else. As far as pain afterwards, it just depends. This time around I was on a diloded drip (low dose), and Aleve for inflamation. I left the hospital with Vicodin, but only took it about 3 times. As long as you rest, and remember not to use your tummy muscles you will be fine. So, you really have to rely on your arms and legs to do lifting, and such. Think of it like this... You go into hospital, spend roughly an hour getting prepped, and then 30 or less minutes in surgery. and BAM theres a baby crying. It's wonderful. No pushing or waiting around. Try to focus on the positive points. I was SOOO nervous, and then afterwards couldn't figure out why. lol If you need any advice after just let me know!

  12 days down! Baby Sophie is in great health. Her big sister Heidi (2yrs) is having trouble adjusting, but it's getting better... Me and the hubby are doing okay also.
