  I feel that breasts have a dual purpose in life and the first couple months of breastfeeding only puts them on hold for a while. When I read ur post, I hear u say u really wanna try this time and it upsets me that someone would just tell u not to bother. If you've never tried it how can u (or her for that matter) know if its right for u? All the facts r true, it takes commitment, its best for baby and it lowers ur chance of getting breast cancer later. I hope u choose to follow ur heart and give it a go. U might feel what I have felt, pure bonding, and satisfaction in feeding my baby the best free food available. Good luck!

  Curious... wanting to breastfeed but i've always considered my breasts "sexual". Will breastfeeding forever ruin the enjoyment I once got from that aspect of foreplay?

    No way! They are still very much sexual. I am a big bf'ing advocate and you can by all means use them for both purposes! My husband doesn't mind the occasional mess because he knows they feed our children. Plus, when you are finished nursing they become solely his again. I wish you the best of luck!

    No hun you are not at all. My friend thinks its the greatest thing ever and just wants to do that. Me on the other hand never have and never will. I was told that daddy can open the shirt during feedings and bond with baby like a breast feeding mom can do so I did that myself with my kids at home just opened my shirt half way and put the heads on my chest with my bra on. If you wanna breast feed you have to be fully committed to it . You always can try if you want to but if you choose not to you are sure not immature or childish. I see my breast the way you said about yours the whole sexual thing. I am sure you choose the right thing for you once it comes down to it and nobody will Jude you if you decide on bottle feeding.
