one piece swimsuit of two?

edited March 2011 in Pregnant
After buying a new suit for this swim season, my father looked disgusted that I would buy a two piece. But I love my pregnancy and at 18 feel a bit young to wear a one piece. Opinions ladys?

  • Omg im 21 n i was ordering some Victoria Secret bathing suits and my mom had the nerve to tell me today tht i should buy a one piece. Wtf! I have always been thin, i'll jus be preggo now. Does tht mean i have to hide my belly?! I hate one pieces
  • I'm going to be wearing bikinis all summer !!
  • I wuld so do a 2 piece n im 28 weeks. I thnk iz so cute 2 sho off ur preggo body.
  • If I had the body I would rock a 2 piece.
  • 2 piece! I have mine ready lol I'm 16 weeks
  • Bikinis all the way!
  • Good! I thought I was crazy because I hated the thought of a one piece. I'm tiny, and don't have a belly now! So why wear one? Maybe its just an elder thing to not show off your bump.
  • If I was thin with only prego belly I would wear one too, unfortunately I'm not lol...i say go for it!!
  • I'm also 18.. I'm 20 weeks prego.. and already ordered my Victoria's Secret swim suit with a cute cover up that matches (: & I honestly don't care what anyone thinks lol no funky tan lines for meeee!!!
  • I thinly its cute if you cute pull off a two piece I'm very self cautious so idk if ill be going to the beach n I'm small even when I was pregnant I hated showing my body but I like looking at girls with two piece bit not like that I admire but for some reason I can't bring my self to wear it but hopefully I grow some B*lls n show off my belly since my BF love it so much n thinks I'm just too cute:)
  • I wore a monokini (however its spelled) from VS til I couldn't for it anymore then got a two piece a one piece was extremely uncomfortable after I got nice and plump a two piece is way more comfortable and will last longer who cares what ppl think don't like don't look ;)
  • Embrace ur preggo bodies ladies, we are beautiful no matter wat shape or size. There is nothing more sexier than a woman bringing a life into this world
  • @firsttimemom go for it! Thinking you yourself as beautiful will make everyone else see the same. That's why I don't understand hiding it. You'll only live once, and hey like @mommy3 says..no funky tan lines!(:
  • Proudmommie627 your so right:)
  • I'm bigger I ware a 2 how ever u can't see my world road map lol its a tank top 1. 1 peice 1s u can't get down quick enough when there wet n need to pee
  • Rock that two piece girl! I would...but unfortunately I have disgusting stretch marks from my last pregnancy...
  • I'm 23 pregnant with my third, and I wear my pre babies bikini still!
  • I think I'm going to go for a tankini. I don't like regular one pieces, but I've got a few points against bikinis. First, my preggo boobs are gigantic, and I don't want then flopping around. Especially as they get larger. Second, sun damage isn't going to be good for stretch mark prevention. Third, I am Chewbaca. I don't want pubic hair I missed while trimming hanging out or my unsightly tummy hair on display.
  • @quintana_britney is there anyway to avoid stretch marks? I don't want to start freaking out before I even gain weight. But any advice on how to avoid?
  • @jwigs I had that problem. My boobs have grown 2 cup sizes. Not even extra large will contain these beasts right now. Haha!
  • Well I didn't get the chance to lose the winter padding I put on, so I'm gonna get a tankini...lol no bikinis til next summer :(
  • I'm 21 n I wear both 1 n 2 pieces...one piece only if its really cute

  • I'm also going for a tankini my boobs are huge and my bellys super hairy plus I'll be about 6 mo in may then 7 and 8 the summer months! And I get biiiig! Lol
  • Hmm I'd say both as you can get some super sexy 1 pieces too
  • I bought a cute one piece from motherhood maternity. I don't want to show off my bump, I think it would make me self conscious.
  • Oh, I want to show off my bump! Once its obviously a bump and not chub.

I'm petite and always wear tiny bikinis, but I think I'll be avoiding all swim suits this summer. It just weirds me out. I know it shouldn't, but oh well. I feel the same way, @kidman
