@gabbs326, I used to live in that area of Millcreek. I was on West 51st St (off Perkins Ave, near West Gore Rd). We now live on Garloch Dr, which is near the Teresa's Deli on West Lake.
@leannamari, It was gorgeous, wasn't it? My phone says it's 62 degrees right now, and it's only 5:30am. How awesome... Also, I work in downtown Erie. On 7th and Peach. I wasn't about to venture out on State St on my lunch yesterday. LoL. Too many drunk Gannon kids. Haha.
I'm from glen rock, pa but we just moved to Hanover, pa not much of a change though. Were right on the md line. I'm due Oct. 22nd with our second baby.
@gabbs326, that's crazy! Actually, I know a woman who lives in the apartment building on the northeast corner across from that church. I worked with her when I worked in Baby Depot at Burlington.
@gabs326 & @Heibes: How cool that you two are close to each other. I was hoping this thread might connect some of us Pennsylvania Pregly users. The closests mamma's to me are out in Pittsburgh so far!
I'm just outside of reading, pa. Today is amazing, I'm outside right now and have my windows open! It's soooo great to not be cooped up in the house and to know that my house is (finally) airing out.
@gabbs326, well, nice to meet you, neighbor! @artistmamma, I thought there was a small chance of anyone else being in Erie, but I was wrong! Very cool to connect with people that are so close by. Thanks for starting this thread!
@Adfennell83: It takes me about an hour and 20 minutes, give or take, to reach Pittsburgh from my home. I'm in the southwestern part of PA that they call The Laurel Highlands. I'm east of the burgh, & west of Harrisburg, Carlisle, & Philly. But I'm south enough that it doesn't take even an hour of driving for me to cross over into Maryland. I'm glad you could connect with some nearby Pennsylvanian's!
@kalasthename: That is so cute! My sister has a 4 year old boy & he is the light of my world. I adore him. I never thought I'd have my own child. I was always told I couldn't, & when I tried in October 2008 & April 2009, I lost both pregnancies to miscarriage. This one wasn't planned, but I'm SO happy & feel so very blessed!
@artistmamma Congrats on this one! You deserve it my sister is due 5 days before me with her 4th and I love her kids so much...I also have my brothers 2 year old daughter staying with us while my bro does some time...
@kalasthename: That's really nice of you take care of your brother's daughter. I hope he gets out soon & can get back to a better life. Do you know the gender of this baby yet, & what are you hoping for? I wanted a girl & that's what I got, but I was shocked, too. She's the 1st girl born into my family in 19, almost 20 years. Everyone's been having boys!
@artistmamma I'm hoping for a girl too...I find out on April 4th and I can't wait...this pregnancy is so different from my first so I'm definitely thinking pink lol...what are you naming your little princess?
@kalasthename: I found out on February 8th that I'm having a girl. Her full name will be Camilla Autumn Wagner, & I'm hoping my bf & I can be married within a year after she's born. Then I can be a Wagner, too! I've got a GREAT man & I adore him. We've hit a rough patch recently, as he was a temp working underground for Amfire in the mines, & his mine, Madison, just laid off ALL their temps. Here I am on unemployment from being laid off in August, & considered too high risk to work right now, & even though he was a temp, he was making good money. So, I'm trying not to stress & hoping he finds something again...soon. It just sucks so bad!
Omg, @MommyRN, I could not agree with you more. And the seven day forecast for my zip code is looking horrible, according to www.weather.gov. Overnight lows in the teens again. Really? It's almost April!! I don't wanna be feeling January & February temps anymore!
I hear you!! Hope you didn't get the blueberry-sized hail like we did today! I thought if my electricity was going out I would lose it but it didn't. Ugh hurry up spring!!
@MommyRN: We got that, too! It was crazy. My area was under a Tornado Watch briefly, was yours? I kept thinking that it felt too cold out to have such a violent thunderstorm, but I guess there was atmospheric warmth involved to create that system. I love t-storms, I just didn't want to lose power, either. Baby has been extra active today, so I think she likes storms, too! Maybe if all us pregnant & ttc Pennsylvania mommies focus on Spring coming, Mother Nature will hear us & kick Winter in the a**! Lol! I comfort myself by saying the worst & longest part is over, but I've been very down this winter. I need beautiful days & warm nights to lift my spirits!
