Seeing you toddler soooo sick and feeling helpless. She woke up Tuesday 430am vomitting until yesterday at about 8pm. Complaintsof headaches and fever. She finally slept through the night last night so I thought she was coming around now she has had a terrible headache and stool so loose its almost as if she is peeing out her butt. She keeps crying in and out of her quick naps. In her three and a half years of life she never been so sick. Normally if she has a tummy bug it only lasts half a day at most. I know I'm prob just overreacting buthey with my hormones commercials set me off so my lil baby girl hurting is really gonna trigger water works and then I'm frustrated called over ten pediatricians in my area just for all of them to tell me they don't take new medicaid patients!!! Glad to kno if your child is sick no one cares unless you have the right insurance. The one place who would see her doesn't want to til Saturday :( that'll make five days of no eating.... sorry thi is soo long.

Any tips for getting her to eat/drink/take medicine. She's not interested in anything. No even sitting up :(

  • The main thing is to keep her hydrated even if she spits it back up. Bananas will harden the stool, but I would try to keep her on liquids. Main thing is for u to stay calm so she can feel better
  • I dont have kids, but wouldnt u be able to take her to a hospital ER???

Oh, get a cup with a straw n tell her its the get well cup that only she can have no one else. Let her drink on her own terms but encourage her to drink. She might push it away more if u hold it .......have u been to the er
  • I got her to take some medicine last night and she was able to sleep most the night (well till 5am) but when she woke up she actually got up and walked over to me which is good sign. She's trying to eat a little bit... but now saying her tummy is starting to hurt :( but ill take any improvement...
  • Bless you both ): I'm sure she feels bad & I know you not being able to do much isn't any easier! Marriedwith_3 is right though.. keeping her hydrated & trying to let her rest as much as possible is sometimes the only that'll work! Keep trying to get her to take some meds! Makes me so sad ):
