  • My friends mom had them pierced and I asked her 100+ questions once because I wanted to get them pierced as well. I can tell you what she had to do...
She kept them in as long as possible, she wore rings becaude the barbells hurt too much from swelling. She took them out only after the baby was born so she could breastfeed, they had been healed for years so she put them right back in.

I don't have them myself though I have supersensitive nipples and backed out from getting them done. But I hope I helped a little
  • I had to take mine out :( they hurt way too bad. I really didn't wanna take them out but im so much more comfortable now. Plus they can cause your milk ducts to get infected and I heard that is miserably painful.
  • I had mine done and the doctor said I didn't have to take them out except when breastfeeding but I took them out and left them out, I would recommend getting longer barbells, or the plastic spacers until your breasts are settled in their new state...
  • How about belly ring? Im almost 6months pregnant n still have my belly ring in, it doesnt bother me or hurt tho
  • I'm 29 weeks and still have my bars in. I had to replace them with tongue bars because they are longer and my boobs were getting huge but now with the longer bars in, they don't bother me too much. But here soon, I will be taking them out because I'm going to be breast feeding. Errr...
  • I'm not sure about belly rings, I had to take mine out prior to my getting pregnant for other reasons. I would assume if it doesn't bother you its probably fine, but the hospital may ask you to take it out, as they do with any peircing when you have a procedure done. You can ask your doctor, if he/she hasn't said anything yet its probably not an issue.
