911??? Or am I just paranoid??? PLEASE HELP!!

edited March 2011 in Pregnant
So this morning I moved a certain way in bed and it felt like I pulled something on the right side of my lower abdomen... I didn't really worry about it because the pain went away after like 5 min... I just got out of the shower and in the mist of me washing my tummy, I realized that I haven't felt my baby move or kick all day... Normally she's very active. I always watch her kicks and I know when she moves because my belly button and belly ring pokes out more... And around this time she normally moves while I'm in bed... Should I be worried or am I just overly paranoid???

  • Poke at her and see if u can wake her. She may just be resting alot today
  • I poked, shook, and rubbed in the shower.... And there was nothing....
  • How far along are u first. I have done the exact same thing many times. But my baby movement schedule has changed from moving all night. To mostly moving during the day, and a lil in the morning. Ur babies movement might have too. But reguardless ur baby moves all the time. U jus may not feel it. But if ur still worried give it till later and go to or call ur DR. Or midwife
  • I'm 26 wks... I have a doc app in the morning... But um I'm wondering if this is something I should go to the Er for....
  • I'm almost 28 weeks. Well I think u shud, if u haven't felt anything call ur DR. But she may jus not be a busy body right now. U shud try and shine a flashlight to ur belly. That's what I did when I didn't feel my lil man move when I usually did.

Drink some orange juice or eat some fruit and wait half an hr to 45 mins. If she doesn't at least flutter then u should go in. Better safe than sorry. But my baby use to do that too. Shed change her schedule for the first 3 wks fter she started movin n she didn't start till I was 24wks. @kristenmarie
  • Its normal for them to change their schedules, jus a week ago mine changed his, thank god, I can sleep at night now. But I agree if u don't feel even a flutter then go in.
  • @mzmommy1st , @firstmama I Just got off the phone with an advice nurse... She basically said the same thing you guys said... She told me not to really worry unless I experience cramping and/or bleeding... And she also told me to make sure I talk to my doc about it in the morning. Thanks so much for your advice!!!
  • I had that pain everyday unless is rolled to my side and pushed myself up. Its most likely just your stomach muscles pulling. I found when i get nervous about movement i lay on my left side and it helps me see and feel the movement better
  • Ih n I forgot about round ligament. Could be ur pelvic muscles stretching.
  • Im 26 weeks too. My baby moves alot some days and not on others. Same thing happened to me the other day. I just waited a while and she finally moved. It is scary tho. Sometimes when I get up off couch or out of bed I have sharp pains. Think its all normal.
  • The baby is probably sleeping alot cuz of a growth spurt. My unborn is doing the same thg, he slept through the 3d ultrasound so we kept poking n moving his head and he would not wake up. Its ok ur baby is just sleeping
  • The pain was round ligament pain. And the baby is fine they change patterns alot and unless u haven't felt her for a whole day there isn't concern. She could ne moving and u don't feel it.
  • @Kristenmarie . Not trying to scare You but you so need to pay close attention to the kicks today. If there is little or no movement after drinking juice or eating candy and this is significantly different from yesterday then please go in. Yea baby may change pattern or schedule but not so drastically so quickly. This same thong happened to my sil with my niece And the Dr told her it was no big deal but She didn't listen and went to the hospital and ended up delivery my niece that night 7 weeks early. She had no cramping or bleeding. Again im not trying to worry you but it could really be something so pay attention over the next couple hours try to encourage movement and if nothing, GO IN.
  • IIt was emergency c section that she delivered
