labor&delivery (vent)

I have been having contractions for 7 days now went in to see what's going on Wednesday and they sent me home due to not enough progress ok I understand that. Yesterday my contractions picked up a lot and I called in to see if they would check me and stuff. So they decided to tell me that my contractions are not strong enough because I am on the phone with her and if my contractions are so bad I couldn't be on the phone walk around or Anything else. So she told me I was probably dehydrated well I wasn't Wednesday when I came on why should I be now. I will see my ob today and finally talk to someone who knows my old labor stories and knows that every labor is different

@jenn_929 I just started week 38 and since its not my first they decided not to I guess. I went in with contraction in week 34 since its to early and they said it was only because I am dehydrated I talked to my ob and he said I should know what I am talking about. With my second I went in for induction and was 5 dilated the day I went in and I didn't feel a thing.

That's ridiculous! Different women handle labor pains differently! You couldn't even tell my sister was in pain with her last one. She sat there and said ouch and started up a conversation with everyone! I think its time for your doctor to chew some butt with the labor and delivery nurses who clearly have no idea what they are talking about! Best of luck hun, hopefully you bet good news today!

@jenn_929 No they didn't do anything that's what upsets me maybe I can talk my ob into a membrane sweep. I am to 10 min apart and I think my pelvic explodes and back is just killing me since I have back labor but I guess RN will go ny the book.1cm per hour witch a lot of women know now its not true but they don't care.

Seriously 1cm per hour? If that was the case I would have had a c-section half way into my labor! Lol that rarely happens! I was in labor with my first 21 hours before I had her vaginally. Those nurses would piss me off. Sorry hun but you don't deserve to get treated that way! Your doctor should really talk to the head nurse because that is ridiculous!

@mommyoftwoprincesses he doesn't seem to be to happy with them either I will hopefully I know more in 2 hrs and I will request him to check me I am just miserable and being a total bitch since last night even had an argument about the name with my hubby so I felt even worth.

I hate 50 % of the nurses in my old hospitals labor and delivery...I was young so they treated me like crap and I was crying layin in my room when I went I'm early labor at34 weeks with my son so dumb bitch comes in and asks me if I want my baby at all because I was 16 the babys room wasnt done and I was in labor at 34 weeks wtf why wouldn't I be crying?! Man did I bitch her out

@mommyoftwoprincesses they are just to young with my second they told my hubby he could get lunch if he wanted because it will take a few more hours well he didn't wanted to go but I told him they know what they are talking about so you can go. he was gone for about 15min and something didn't feel right and I asked them to check and chaos broke out because the doctor and my hubby barley made it to delivery.

@tagensmommy omg I would have flipped out and never let her in my room again!! Some of those nurses do NOT belong in labor and delivery because they have no idea what the hell they are talking about and they have no hearts!

@veteranswife I had the same thing happen to me. The Dr told my husband it wasn't labor if I could walk/talk. So when I woke him up to tell him I needed to go to the hospital he told me I wasn't because I was talking to him. I drove myself to the hospital pulled over with every contraction, got there I was in labor. Called my husband from L&D told him the baby was comin with or without him. Less than 8 hours later my son was born.

I went from 1cm to 9cm in an hour, and didnt feel a thing until i was @ nine, the nurse said i checked u an hr ago it cant be time to push, so hubby told her how fadt i usually go, so she checked....and had to hurry and get doc and everything else into place for delivery, tht worries me with this one...but good luck to you

And you guys are lucky! I was dilated to 1 and a half for a month and in labor for 23 hours

That happened to me too kinda
I wasn't dialating very fast they gave me an epidural then my Doctor went to lunch and my nurse went for a walk they told me to try to take a nap and not to try pushing...Well 10 minutes later I had a major urge to push. My husband was telling me not to push but I told him I could not ,not push he was yelling for help but no one came and he had to catch our son.
