Restless leg syndrome?! My skin is crawling

edited April 2011 in Health
So I never fully understood rls, even in studying medicine but im almost 100% I'm experiencing it right now and my skin is crawling! This is without a doubt the absolute most irritating sensation I've ever felt. I literally cannot sleep because laying still is unbearable, I'm walking around typing this while baby kicks. Maybe he's got it too ;)
Really tho, anyone else experience this? Tips for relief?!

  • My legs twitch a lot while I try to sleep. To the point that I wake up to my feet 6 inches above the bed. I don't notice as many day time symptoms, but I do get the irritated, want to walk feeling sometimes. Mostly I get the symptoms as I try to sleep. Making me crazy.
  • RLS can be a symptom of low iron. Maybe try to take a little more iron with your prenatal?
  • Try stretching then warm soak then cold shower.
