Getting rid of stretch marks?

edited February 2011 in Third Trimester
So let me just say ive been using coco butter since I was 4 months....now that I'm 9 months I haven't really seen improvement. I'm a ginger so I have very pale and sensitive skin...how do I get them to lighten up?

  • Ur lucky you are pale because when they fade you probably wont even notice them.
Idk about lightening them up though a few people on here said Bio-Oil works...maybe Mederma? Idk the ingredients though you might want to check with a doc first on that one

  • I'VE BEEN USING PALMERS STRETCH MARK LOTION ND A LITTLE VASELINE COCOA BUTTER LOTION ON MY BELLY ND BREAST. IM 26 WEEKS. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH STRETCH MARKS ARE IN MY BREAST. I WENT FROM A CUP TO A 38 C. SO I EXPECTED THAT. PLUS MY CHEST IS LIGHT. BUT HOPEFULLY THEY GO AWAY AFTER PREGNANCY OR AT LEAST LIGHTEN UP CUZ THE LINES ARE VERY DARK! BUT WHERE CAN I FIND MEDERMA AT?
  • I just got some bio oil tonight to see how it works because everyone bragged on it.. I might forget to tell you all how I like it, but if I can remember I'll tell you how well it works for me. I don't have any marks yet, and if I get some.. I'll know it doesn't work lol

OAN IF U HAVE DRY SKIN ST.IVES. OATMEAL ND SHEA BUTTER IS GREAT. MY SKIN WAS VERY DR ND ITCHY. I LOVE IT THOUGH. I HAVE THE SHOWER GEL ND LOTION. :)
  • U can get mederma at any drug store. I don't have stretch marks yet on my belly just my breasts. But I used it before on surgical incisions and it did make them lighten up a ton. I love it but its kinda a thick paste so just don't wash after u apply it. Let it work for a few hrs before washing. Gl ladies.
  • Ibhavent gotten any yet but i just went and got me mamma' choice. I heard it works like magic, good lavender smell too.
  • Lay it on thick from bath and body works. It works amazing. And smells great too
