fetal heartbeat wives tale...how accurate?

Finally heard my minions heartbeat...noce strong and at 150 bpm.... that means girl right? Anyone know how accurate this wives tale is? Im 15weks today..

    Its very inaccurate.....universities and doctors have done studies that proved that gender and heartbeat have no relation.


    But they are fun!

    Mine never got under 150 and my doc told me it meant a girl. He said he's usually right when he goes by it and I am in fact having a girl.

    My midwife swore I was having a boy because of hb.....nope, I had a girl. This time I'm waiting for the scan lol x

    I'm having a boy. These were his heart rates for last 4 visits. 154/ 161/ 140/ 120

    I'm having a girl and my first appt her heartbeat was 160-something, 2nd her hb was 150-something and at my 3rd her hb was 139...I don't think the heartbeat has anything to do with it

    My girls heartbeat has been anywhere from 120bpm - 187bpm. How high or low the heartbeat is depends on if you catch them sleeping or being active, definitely has nothing to do with gender. All the old wives tales lied to me lol oh well all in good fun :)

    My husbands aunt is pregnant with her 4th and said it was the complete opposite with her from what the wives tale said for each of her pregnancies! she has 2 girls and 1boy (1 boy on way)

    @laurenmarie7291 My BF would love for it to be opposite for me too.... he wants a boy... we both have 2 girls (mine are 14 & 11...his are 11 & 9) he also has an 18 year old son..... even though i already have my girls.. i sooooooo want another girl... all my friends want me to have a boy... (because i already have girls) and my daughters are insisting its a boy.... im happy with whatever i get... but these wives tales are ticking me off.. LOL

    @rockinmomma Im a jumble of wives tales... LOL I can only eat meat and potatoes and salty spicy foods.. (boy) im breaking out all of a sudden (girl) for 15 weeks i feel like im carrying low (boy) Throwing up all the time (girl) Heart beat fast (girl) im a hairy wildabeast (Boy) and i onlyl have one baby in there.. so who knows.. LOL

    Mine was in 160s at first then 150s second time and its a boy. Doc didn't tell me this time

    @vanalkr seriously. No lies. I shavr my legs and the next day they are like two very pale cacti ..all of a sudden my bf is pointing out chin whiskers...(so not sexy when im trying to seduce him) usually get my eyebrows done once a month... nw in a week i have two catepillers roaming my forehead... i think i can grow a mustach faster than bf right now too..... and im not gonna even discuss the jungle down there.... yikes. Testosterone much? Lol
