Look up Paragard...its the only bc I've actually considered because I'm gonna be breastfeeding and it just seems like a great choice if your gonna. I use to be on the shot but they only recommend being on it for 5yrs at most and my 5yrs were up...
There's iud's like Mirena, the one that's implanted in your arm, Depo shot, many different pills, and the NuvaRing. I wouldn't suggest the nuvaring or depo shot as I had bad experiences with both but it varies among women.
I really recommend the Nuva ring. Its super easy, my sis had a problem with it but everyone is different so you won't know for sure unless u try. I tried Mirena and my hubby hated it. The pill resulted in my first to pregnancies.
I want to get my tubes tied, but idk if they will let me cuz I'm 19 >_> if not, I'm getting the implant. My friend has it and she's only had 2 very light periods that lasted 6 hours each in a year.
Best for of bc is not having sex.......... although we all know how well that one goes over lol. Talk to your doctor and tell them what u want and see what they suggest. Im thinking tubal for me because of all the problems I am having, although before I was thinking of an iud.
I got preggo on the pill, depo depleted calcium even after they told me to take supplements. Not sure about the others... although I did the rythem method successfully for five years
@Mz_Mommie He said he could feel the strings which hang slightly outside the cervix, and since the cervix is at different angles throughout the cycle sometimes it was worse. The strings are similar to fishing line. Supposedly most men don't feel them, but he could (maybe he just wanted to be special;) but I took his word for it.
I say implanon... i had it for 3 years after my son was born and i didnt have to worry about taking pills and it ends up being lots cheaper. the IUD scares me and many people say that if its not inserted right ur partner can feel the string and then u have to go back in to get it trimmed or even re inserted, personally i think its a pain in the butt. depo, i had a friend who had been receiving it for a while and one day she went to the hospital to find out she was giving birth to a 4 month premature baby boy. consult ur doc for sure but implanon worked for me perfect!
