  • ive never heard that you cant have honey.. i will look around online and get abck to you though, honey was the only thing that helped my morning sickness
  • Never heard honey was a bad thing. I know babies under 1 yr CAN'T have it tho. It can carry botulism (sp) that are systems can easily kill but babies under 1 yr don't have an immune system that strong. I have eaten things like cereal with honey baked in it BUT local unprocessed honey would probably be completely different. Anything homemade like that is risky.
  • Ive never heard you can't eat honey while pregnant. I know you can't give it to under ones though
  • i know that your not supposed to give it to your baby until there two years old for risk of infant botulism but it is extremely rare.. But i guess its perfectly safe for you to eat while pregnant/breastfeeding because your digestive system has the proper bacteria to break down anything harmful. babies and toddlers don't, that is why they can't have it.

  • Honey only works for allergies when the hive is 20 miles or less from your house. It has to be produced from the same flowers bothering you. So going to the grocery and picking up a bottle isn't going to do any good except taste good.
I'm closely associated with a small honey farm and in all of the lit I've read I've never heard a danger with pregnancy.
  • Oh wow I wasn't expecting so many comments so quick.thank you ladies.that link was very helpful too.I didn't think it wasn't safe but she's been arguing with me this whole time.she thinks she knows everything, lol.im very lucky I have a farm 7minutes from my house:)
  • I specifically looked this up cuz i love honey...
