When do people usually plan the shower? My mom and I already planned mine, and we already mailed invites for the end of March. Am I the only one who likes notice? Do you think its too early?? Thanks for the input.
End of March sounds like perfect timing to me. And since its the beginning of february I don't think that you've started sending the invites too early. Not at all.
Lol I always blame it on pregnancy brain! Thank you. The reason I am asking is because my mil has mentioned nothing about a shower, and I feel like time is going by really fast, and I hate short notice
@maymomma sending out invites now is a good idea. I need to plan n can't rush n people never rsvp so it gives u time to hound them n ask if they r coming. Have fun!
@dobiemomma im planning a shower for my second baby because I had my first one 5 years ago and wasn't planning on having anymore kids and got rid of all the stuff I had for him. Some people do it if they are having a different sexed child then the first one.
Thank you. I find it frustrating because alot of my hubbys friends wives want to know when it is, but she hasn't planned anything! My mil already rsvp'd to my moms. Ugg. I think it would be okay there is alot of time between, are you having a girl again? That's my dads birthday lol, mine is July 1 cancers are awesome lol
@baby4ontheway yes I got rid of all infant things too. I was same boat didn't plan for more. This time we also don't want to know the sex. First baby was a girl. My fam is such baby nuts I think they'd be mad if I didn't have a shower. I just don't want to look like I'm greedy, I'm not n we r in a finincial bind n as much help as we could get from family would be nice.
I would have one then! Its along time between. My mom is having one for me, I just would like to invite my hubbys friends wives to my moms if Mil is not having one. She said she is but hasn't done anything to plan or pick when or anything. That's why I was wondering when ppl give notice. Thank you:)
Personally, I think every baby deserves a party to celebrate the fact that they're on their way. It doesn't have to involve big presents (I'm going to ask people to bring diapers and wipes and come and eat cake), but I'm sure if you're in a position where you need stuff the people coming to your shower will know that and won't think you're greedy. In my experience showers are usually between 2 and 4 weeks before the due date, but I always thought that was ridiculously late.
My thoughts are this isn't a wedding that happens on the day you pick, she could come whenever lol. No I haven't talked to her my hubby did. I was going to invite them to my moms, we already have about 55 ppl, and his mom doesn't have many, that's why I was going to invite them to Mils
Im planning mine already im having it at the end of march. Im actually having two my mom is throwin mine here in co nd my bestfriend who will b my sons god for family mother is throwin one in my home town ks for friends. @maymomma wat kinda theme yu havin
I dont really have a theme lol, and its funny I was never into pink, however now that I know I am having a girl alot of things are pink. I guess I feel like his mom really isn't into our baby, or doing anything for us. My hubby said his mom probably just thinks she has tons of time
