Last Names and Child Support

Does it really make a difference what last name you give your baby when it comes to getting child support?

    @mimibrowneyez36 who is responsible for paying for a DNA test ? My BD knows its his and I want him to sign the birth certificate but just for precaution Im asking

    All states are different. But here in NC I think they pay for it but you have to pay court cost for the child support hearing.

    I live in Louisiana and I think the father is responsible for it unless it turns out it isn't his baby, then you have to pay for it. If the child already has his last name and he doesn't deny the child no dna test is performed. Every state is different.
