  • Mine is next month, with food, decorations, prizes, chair/table rentals, drinks, and cake its about $900...wow I never realized it was so costly =/ I'm having a big co-ed party like bbyshower though with his fam and mine and friends from both sides. Probably 90-100 people

@simplyraven22406 yah charleston beaches are so pretty. I want it to be more so of a party than a baby shower, ill die of boredom just sitting in a room playing games.

    Lol idk I'm weird.

  • @erkieshavingagirl that's how mine is going to be....my husband is inviting all his navy buddies so we don't want it girly.

Luckily, I'm having a boy so its that much easier. And my mom is doing all the work bc I don't have the nerves for it. Lol
  • @simplyraven22406 yah I just wanna get sexy and party on the beach with all our friends and family. Now im excited! Lol
  • Making your own food is cheaper, alot cheaper, than catering.

  • A thousand seems about what were gona spend. I have about 80+ we have to book the park, food vb itself is about 300. The rest is decoration, games, and prize. N my family gives cash as gifts, ill get at least 3 grand in cash n a whole bunch of clothes n toys for the baby. Already got a 400 crib from my sister :)
  • I'm from Charleston..that's where I'm having my shower...the beaches are wonderful...I miss it....I won't mind shaking my belly but its going to be all women...lol..be kinda weird
  • I think 1000 is pretty high to but if u got it spend it I would just rather but that money towards his nursery since this is my first baby I have to start from scratch....my baby shower budget is probably no more than 300-400 dollars because we are cooking ourselves I do plan on having farely nice prizes like Bath and Body works as oppose to cheaper 1 and 2 dollar prizes but I doubt if I even spend that much and I plan for it to be really nice I just shop deals and shop around. I also plan on having a designed speacial cake and cake pops but I'm not going to spend an extrem amount
  • My mom threw my first I have no idea of the cost but it wasn't much. She decorates cakes as a hobby and is really good so she made my cake we had veggie dishes and small snacks my aunt brought a fruit salad inside a watermellon she made to look like a baby carrige. It was at my moms house. As for this time I don't know if ill have one unless someone throws me one. We've been living in a friends barn and are hoping to have enough money to get our own place next month.
  • @lilybug04 yayyyy! I have another charleston buddy.
  • @ new are u orig from there?
  • I'm originally from columbia, sc. I'm here in charleston bc my husband is stationed at the naval base.

  • -$100 lol I didnt pay for my first shower hoping I wont pay for this one cuz I cant afford it
  • @lilybug04 its cool....can't wait to leave though. Lol
  • I don't really know what my budget is. my step mother is throwing me one in NY and my mom is throwing me 1 in atlanta each will have about 100-125ppl. My stepmother is throwing me mine in NY at a club, (no were not partying but it's nice big open space she's already ordered custom favors of me and my fiance & some with my sono. My mom im sure will be a lot more intimate but idc it's about the gifts I'm sure ill get all that i need and then some!
  • Wow i cant belive how many ppl you all get to invite, i have like 22 ppl invited so i hope at least half show up lol
  • Ours costs 303 dollars the joy of divorced parents they split the costs of thats stuff

  • Id rather waiste that on my bby, wow....we r doing 100_150 i believe no more...n we hve everything already!
  • Its a tradition usually in my culture for baby showers to be a surprise so we really dont pay for anything.
  • I'm only having two because i have a lot of family and alot of friends in both places and since i spent the last 5 years in NY but went to middle school, high school and college in Ga plus my mom & sisters, grandma etc are there it's only right to share my baby shower experience twice.
  • My sis is hosting mine butwe decided on $600 max. So far the list is around 60 ppl and we r having it catered and we were told for the amt of ppl it will be around $200. It will b at my sis house since their back yard is big and we just have to buy decorations and we have to spend a bit extra in a jumper house for the kids that will b attending. I honestly think we can do it under $600 but that amt is our limit
