anterior placenta.. :/

So I found out last week that I have an anterior placenta.. which is why I haven't been feeling the baby as much as I should.. I'm 23 weeks today and my doctor said that I won't be feeling him anymore than I do now throughout my whole pregnancy.. has anyone ever had this before and if so did you start feeling your baby later in pregnancy more than a few times a day.. please someone give me hope lol

  • I have an anterior placenta. I don't know why your doctor would say that. I agree at that many weeks it was light but give your baby a couple more weeks and it is Just as strong as other babies. I have a 3 and almost 2 year old so I have been through recent posterior pregnancies.
  • Thank you @firsttimemommytobe and. @mom60511 for your replies I now feel better about it. Feeling my baby move is one of the things me and my husband were looking foward to :)

  • With my first, I had an anterior placenta which is why I didn't show as much as I did this time round with my daughter, I didn't really notice much difference in movement though. I think your doctor is just trying to be reassuring in case you don't feel as much as you think you should. But just go with your instinct if worried. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy. :-)
  • Thanks @sheridanlm1991 I know he was just trying to make me not worry about it but it still made me sad! And good luck and congrats on yours as well! :)
  • Thank you! She's a month old now lol :-)
  • mines anteriour feel her all the tume kicks out left side, hurts lol
  • Wat is anterior placenta
  • I have an anterior placenta as well and I didn't feel daily movements until after 24wks, couldn't feel kicks from the outside until after 26wks, and I just recently have been seeing my stomach move and im 32wks. The movements have definitely gotten stronger but I still couldn't tell you the difference between a kick, punch, or roll they all feel similar. I also only feel movement down low, to the sides or near my rib cage. I very rarely ever feel her kick towards the center of my stomach. Im also still not showing much. Its all kind of a bummer but it doesn't cause any problems to the baby so ill deal with it :)
  • Hm Wednesday at my.sonogram I saw her type that on the screen but she didn't say anything about it...I was actually gonna look it up to see what it meant lol anyway I'm 22w3d and I don't feel her ALL the time yet, but definitely several times a day and its usually strong movement. So I wouldn't worry :)
  • I have that...didn't feel him kick daily until 24 weeks but don't get discouraged at 26 my husband could feel him!!!
  • I have it I'm almost 27 weeks and I still don't feel her as mjuch as I did with my 1st two. But I knew at 16 weeks when I didn't feel her I had it. It does suck having it, and I worry a lot if she's ook :/
