Electrical Shock Feeling In Leg Followed By Numbness

Ok, I've noticed ths long ago (maybe whn i wuz 19.. I'm 24 now) an i will get ths horrible, electric shock, harsh sting, static tingling bolt in my right thigh, on the outer-side, like in the middle-ish... it hurts! & i usually jump & say an "f" wrd or "ow"
Now, I've noticed ths w layin down & gettin up to quickly but i mostly notice it w sex... jus regular old missionary, legs up in the air & thn ths shooting electric shock!! Well it'll come & go & hurts, well thn i will touch my leg to rub it & it feels weird, like I'm not rubbing my leg.. its dead, like whn u getta tooth pulled & have novacaine, u knw ur touching it, u feel the pressure of touchin it, but its numb.. i can walk & move it & stretch it but its numb.. duz anyone knw wut ths might be?? It happens w/o sex too jus i mainly notice it during the act, only in missionary w legs up lol. Wut could ths be?? Srry completely un pregnancy related jus worried.

Sounds like sciatica or some other pinched nerve issue.

It probably is pregnancy related as the pressure of everythin puys pressure on your nerves.. I get alot of nerve pressure right now and it can b reli painful and goes right dowb my leg its called the sciatic nerve which i think is like the main one.. But yer its prolly jus trapped nerves or nerves under pressure.. How far along r u.. It might get worse!

id ringg the doc and check it out u sure it aint just pins and needles? lol or maybeeee youve got bad cramp cos i get that a lot in my leg and kinda feels like ur describing it i usually just massage the leg or i use to scream for my mum to come in and do it now my fiance has to do it but he dont do it has good

I'm only 10wks.. 1st pregnancy.. I've had it happen b4 whn i wuz 19. Idk if id say pins & needles.. its not in one spot, it shoots bak & 4th about 6inches on my thigh there & my thigh will go numb & my leg feels fine but my ankle will get a similar numby feeling.. but no shocks on it.. i wuz thinkin pinched nerve or something too..

oh mines in bottom of my leg usually cramp if i stretch to much hurts like hell!!

@SamiUK mines on the outter side. An always in the exact same spot... its very tense there 2. Its like ths::

Right leg.. touch ur knee cap, move ur hand to the right a bit, bout an inch over frm the middle, thn go up ur thigh bout 6 or 7in & it starts frm there thn shoots another 6in up... hope tht helps anyone reading tht needs an almst exact location

I have that too:( but I have back problems also, I have a gymnasts curve nd my back curves to right at 4th lumbar... With each of my pregnancy it happened more frequently especially as ur hips widen/turn out (which begins around 10-12 wks) and then as more pressure is put on nerves in pelvic area... U can go to a chiropractor and see if they can relieve that pressure or ask ur Dr to suggest therapy but either way ur likely to need to go weekly or more...

@kfigueroa well see i nvr went to the drs much cuz i had no health insurance.. i do have back problms tho, if i stand to long or sit to long in hurts so bad. But I'm also 5ft3in. I'm overweight (like 2 cupcakes away frm holy sh*t!!) An I'm big breasted, so i figured thts my bk problm..

Srry to cut short, its almst 3am & i needa sleep, hands asleep.. leg feels like tht!! If ur hand goes to sleep, feel ur finger tips w the other hand, the hand ths asleep, tht feelin, thts how my leg is. Perfect example & jus realised it. Good night

I hear ya... I'm in the same boat, 1 other thing I may suggest though cause I kno it helped me; running... But on a machine, helped a lot with my back n thus relieved tension on nerves... Jus start lil by lil... N g nite:)

I had that prior to pregnancy, and even worse now that I'm 35+ weeks... its the sciatic nerve. I see a special doctor for it, and sometimes it helps alleviate the pain.. I also get the pain during sex, and feel like I can't Move or will die! Ahhh lol

Im17 weeks and I have the same but no pain and only when I lay on my right side thought its cause blood flow not going threw or sum thing
