  • @MrsDelRae , @Mnbaby3 , @kalasthename , @HomeBirthAdvocate , @mommyo3soon2b4 I'd like to begin by saying thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to comment ... I am certain that similar post are recreated daily and it becomes a bit of a pain to comment on all of them. Maybe at some time in the future they could all be linked or something. Anyhow my son was in a head down position for the entire ninth month... then my beloved decided just a few days before being due to turn completely around and becoming breech. Not only was he breech but he tucked himself so far under my ribs that there wasn't a thing we could do to turn him around and believe me when I say we tried everything. My B.P was always kind of high and then by the end became a problem. The doctor determined that if they did not get him out he was posing a great risk to me... in the end it was a good thing because his cord was tightly wrapped around his neck and was also in danger. Having said that, my recovery was okay... I'm not big on pain killers so I really didn't use much. I forced myself to walk around to heal quicker and I was on my own so I was in dyer need of a speedy recovery. I will say I still have numbness and am not a fan, the scar really doesn't bother me because my doctor did a great job with the incision so you can barely notice it. I didn't like that I couldn't see or hold my son immediately after but I suppose it was for our own good. I lucky have the same doctor again and he will let me attempt VBAC if I decide. I must say I really don't want to be cut down there and the idea of something that size coming out of my vagina scares the life out of me. Then in the slim chance I may in the end need to go with a c-section anyway and be in double the pain really isn't a highlight. Thank you all again and I will keep you all posted on my final decision.
  • I'm having my first so don't personally know but my dads gf had a successful vbac infact it was even a home birth. Hope whatever you decide it all goes well for you.
  • I've wondered also. My neighbour just had second csection and said recovery was better n faster then first. Another friend told me vbac was hell from scar tissue pains idk wut she ment lol. One lady said csection second time was bad n needed blood transfusion.
  • I think everyone handles every pregnancy, natural delivery, c-section, and v-bac differently. All any of us can do is share our personal experience with each other...it does not mean that another person will have the same experience. I will say after my 9lb2oz son with his huge Charlie Brown head, I was very relieved that I had a c-section. I couldn't imagine having had to push him out. Good luck to all of you with your deliveries. I am so excited to be able to add another member to our family that I don't care how they get here as long as they do it safely!
