Sorry I cant give you any advice, Im in the same boat you are really...
I think you have to ask yourself some questions and also if you could comment on why you had to have a c-section the first time.
1.How was your recovery after your first c-section?
2. Think about the differences between vag and c-section and those do vary from mom to mom...but think about what happened after your last delivery. Were you able to hold baby soon after, nurse baby, were you able to get up and walk around, did you need pain meds?
I will tell you from my experience of having been induced that led to c-section, having an emergency c-section, and having a planned c-section. My first one was after being in labor and they finally decided that it would put both baby and myself in risk to deliver vaginally...so I was prepped for c-section. Given more of the epidural and also stadol(SP). Stadol is a drug that is used in patients before surgery that helps to calm them and will also make them not remember everything about what went on. This med plus my daughter being put in nicu caused me to not be able to hold my daughter for several hours. 2nd daughter...I was rushed in to an emergency c-section 3.5 weeks early. I was very sick with a high fever and some kind of inection in my stomach. I had a birth plan set up w my ob stating epidural or spinal, no stadol, it went out the window. I was put under general anestetic and didn't get to see my baby for a bit as she went to the nicu. I was however up walking around within an hour or two and got to go to see my baby in nicu. #3 our son...everything was planned...same birthplan and it all went great! I was back in room holding and nursing my baby within 30 min and up walking around within an hour.
I think a planned c-section goes much smoother but its just like natural delivery...sometimes things come up. Talk it over with your doctor some more and see what his thoughts are. But ultimately it is your decision. Good luck!
