We all lnow why we eat, why we breath? We night have the answer to some of the questions.....do u really think u know what is the purpose of this life.
@yay .. I think the purpose of life is to experience as many things as possible, spread as much kindness as you can and try to impact the world (even if in a small way) to try to leave it a slightly better place than befre you were in it!
Where's your door??? I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I have a lot to say :-P sooo much to type.
In a nutshell, we are here to worship God and enjoy life. We are not meant to experience any of the anxiety we experience today. It's a result of sin. The original paradise that was the Garden of Eden will be restored in the near future (NOT may 21 8-| ) and our original purpose "to be fruitful and fill the Earth" will continue.
How ever you feel like impacting it. @Mikeandronadopt feel the best way to impact the world is to have as many adventures and experience life. How you experience it is completely up to you. The point is that you need to answer this question yourself. Nobody can tell you how to do it. So I agree with @oregonmama
Ok what if I didn't ask u that question but ur child did. How did u choose to have a boy or girl?.....because they didn't choose u as parents. ....what would u say...
We're in the very beginning stages of starting a non profit that will getting childrens books into schools and libraries that teach kids about gay youth, gay and lesbian families and diversity in general (whether it be cultural or religous). We're just now looking into how to start a non-profit.
We also volunteer and I believe in practicng random acts of kindness as much as possible...
I believe God matches us with with our kids for a reason. I'm adopted and my adoptive mother was once pregnant with a little girl that she was going to name Lisa. Sadly, she lost her little girl during her second trimester and could have no more children. She decided to become a foster parent and years later, I came into her home. She decided to adopt me and at that time, the child and parents can decide to change the child's name. She asked me, "do you want to change your name?" I was about 5 at that time and I said, "Yes, I think I am supposed to be called Lisa."
She was in shock (because how would I know about her lost baby or that name). Thankfully, she didn't change my name - but I think it proves each child is brought to your for a reason and has a purpose.
I think its to be the vest person you can be &try your best to take care of your family friends &ur earth. Not to sweat little things &always remember to put others before yourself & take everyday as a blessing ;;)
Thats not what I said. I believe teahing kids about diversity and valueing and respecting people who are different from you is a very good thing and is a great way to change the world.
Practicing random kindness is could be anything from waiting a moment longer to hold the door for someone or paying the persons bridge toll in the car behind you...
I'm sorry but can I ask what the purpose of this discussion is? Curiousty of others thoughts? Or what? Not meaning to sound rude just trying to see what the answer is tht u r looking for
@mommy2beagain on Earth. After armageddon. It won't be the garden of Eden, but LIKE it, since that was what God originally purposed. If Adam and Eve had not sinned, they would still be alive today in there paradise home. But God will make this very earth a paradise and we will fulfill his original purpose...to live forever in perfection, filling the Earth and giving him glory.
@yay to say "I obey him all the time" would be impossible due to imperfection. but I do my utmost to uphold his standards in my everyday life. BTW...don't put a space between the @ and the persons name, it won't tag.
@mommy2beagain if u have a true question I will be happy to answer elsewhere, but I'm exiting this thread since I do not believe in debates and I believe "yay" is trying to take it there
@ jaybrad Well do u have an anwer the main reason of this topic was u right for curiosity we seem to know so much yet we cannot answer to that simple question for some of the believer(whatever faith ) they say God but they obey his commends. For the nonbeleivers they know that their is a creator but denying the his. Most of us are pregnant here and we all know that we don't have control of our body nor our baby. ..... let be real to ourselves....do we really known the answer or we are just pretending to be so religious (sometime we just follow because I have faith. ..faith and knowledge go together ) or I am so smart that I don't need to believe in a CREATOR( knowing very well that we all come fron a drop of sperm and an egg
