No movement =\ Normal??

edited June 2011 in First time moms
So I'm 21 weekday with my first n I don't think I've felt the baby yet. Idk if its normal cause I've read so many post with people saying they've been feeling their babies since like the 17th week....
Idk if I'm missing it or if I just can't feel her yet...is it normal to not feel her this late?

  • Yes its normal :) everyone is different but you should be feeling baby move soon. I didn't feel anything until I was around 21-22weeks and even then it was rare, not an every day thing.
  • I am 21.5 weeks and I only feel inside wiggles...no kicks or outside movement yet. From what I have been told it just depends on the person... I read in a magazine some women won't feel kicks til 26wks. I think for most first time mommies you will by like 24wks. I am bigger to begin with so I know it might be a little longer for me. This is my first too :) I am sure you will feel her soon :)
  • I kinda figured tht..
    Hope she starts moving soon
    Thanks
  • =( I hope not Thts torture lol
I dont think I can wait another month
  • I don't really feel anything until about 22 weeks and this is my first. My placenta was in front so it decreased what I could feel. Maybe ask the doc if you have an anterior placenta, its not a bad thing since it Moves eventually like mine did., google anterior placenta it'll make more sense than me lol. If its your first I wouldn't stress, it usually takes longer :)
  • My practitioner said I should b feeling her move wit in the next week it so...bt I guess we'll see.
  • Everyone is different and not everyone feel it at the same time. U might b feeling it now but might be thinking its gas or hunger growls..who knows!

sil didn't know she was prego until 5mons because she never had any symptoms. She has irregular periods and even had 1 while prego. She finally took a test because she had gained 20lbs rather rapidly. She didn't feel movements until 6months. So def don't worry
  • Everyones diff I didnt feel him move till 23 weeks
